A big thank you to for this lovely gift. The best we’ve had for a long time !! ❤️. Eaten on , it is a simple buttery puff pastry tart filled generously with frangipane and traditionally baked with a fève ( ceramic trinket ) inside. The person who then finds the fève in their slice will be crowned 👑 or for the entire day.

Our patients often ask us : How often they should replace their toothbrushes . recommend to replace your toothbrush every three to four months. However, there are a few additional considerations to keep in mind:

1. Frayed Bristles : If the bristles on your toothbrush become frayed or worn before the three-month mark, it’s time to replace it. Worn bristles are less effective at cleaning teeth.

2. Illness : If you’ve been sick, consider replacing your toothbrush to avoid reinfecting yourself, as bacteria and viruses can linger on the bristles.

3. Type of Toothbrush : If you use an electric toothbrush, check the manufacturer’s recommendations for when to replace the brush head, as it may vary.

4. Regular Check-ups : During dental visits, your dentist can provide guidance on whether your toothbrush is still effective or if it needs replacing.

Keeping these points in mind can help maintain your oral hygiene effectively!

🍫 🍬 🍾 🎄 Sugar intake during the festive season can significantly impact dental health in several ways:

1. Increased Plaque Production : Sugars feed the bacteria in your mouth, leading to increased plaque formation. Plaque is a sticky film that can harden into tartar if not removed through regular brushing and flossing.

2. Higher Risk of Cavities : When sugar is consumed, it interacts with the bacteria in plaque to produce acids. These acids can erode tooth enamel, leading to cavities. The more sugar you consume, the more acid is produced.

3. Gum Health : Excess sugar can also contribute to gum disease. The bacteria that thrive on sugar can lead to inflammation and infections in the gums, which can cause gingivitis and periodontitis if left untreated.

4. Dry Mouth : Many festive drinks, like sugary cocktails or sodas, can lead to dry mouth, reducing saliva production. Saliva is essential for neutralizing acids and washing away food particles, so a decrease can further increase the risk of dental problems.

5. Frequency of Snacking : During the festive season, people often snack more frequently on sugary treats. Continuous exposure to sugar, rather than consuming it in one sitting, increases the chances of acid attacks on tooth enamel.

⭐️ To mitigate these effects, it’s essential to maintain good oral hygiene practices by brushing your teeth at least twice a day 🪥 floss like a boss. 🦷 Reduce sugar consumption where possible and don’t forget to drink water.
