Rebuild your confidence and connection with a mentorship session. ✨

If you head to the workshops page of the I Know This Girl website, you’ll notice that I’ve added a new type of session.

This is designed for people who already have a few bowls and have been playing for a while. So they are not in the beginner stage but they’ve hit a bit of a slump.

🔸 Maybe you’ve lost confidence in your playing technique.
🔸 Maybe you're not sure how to develop next.
🔸 Maybe you’ve lost connection with your bowls and haven’t been playing as much.

This is an hour for you to get familiar with your bowls again, ask any questions you have and receive support from someone who has been doing this for 9 years (that’s me!)

🔗 If you need a little boost, I’m here to help. Follow the link to book a mentorship session at my studio in Bristol: https://www.iknowthisgirl.co.uk/singing-bowl-workshop

🌟 A beginner’s guide to cacao. 🌟

Have you ever been part of a cacao ceremony?

It’s a ritual that can be traced all the way back to ancient civilizations. In its pure ceremonial form, cacao opens the heart.

It’s a beautiful thing to experience and works wonderfully alongside crystal singing bowls which also support our connection to ourselves and the world around us.

There are a few things that are good to know before you try holding a cacao ceremony yourself so I’ve written an article introducing you to cacao.

👉 Follow the link in my bio to read it and let me know how you get on with cacao!

💫 Where I was in 2016! 💫

Like a lot of people online, I’ve been reflecting on how far I’ve come in the last 10 years.

Today I’m the founder of a crystal singing bowl shop, expanding my range into new instruments, tools and items for sound, ceremony and sleep.

Back in 2016, it was a big year for me. I didn’t realise until I thought about it for this post but I’m not sure I could fit as much into one year now as I did back then. 👇

I bought my first home which should’ve been exciting but I remember being terrified of living alone. Soon after, I got my beautiful cat Bella who sadly passed and wasn’t with me for long.

I was working in a gym in Hackney as a personal trainer and teaching HIIT classes. I was teaching Spin classes for various studios in London, spending hours curating my playlists, cycling almost an hour to get there and getting £35 per class. I did it for the buzz, not the money.

✨ I knew I wanted to move away from working in fitness and into either mindfulness or meditation but wasn’t sure where I was going. I had started moving in that direction though. I’d attended many meditation courses and retreats and started working part-time for a meditation company to get insight into that world.

Fitness, fancy dress and festivals were my joy! 💕 So that year, I cycled across the UK, ran a half-marathon, hiked Snowdon, dressed as a unicorn multiple times and took my best friend to Shambala festival.

2016 me would be so proud of where I am now! If I could talk to 2016 me, I'd say:

"Make the most of your time with Claire because when she moves to Aus you'll miss her like crazy. You're going to end up loving your home and having some wonderful lodgers live with you that turn into friends. Always follow your gut even though most of the time you have no idea where you're going."

What would you say to your 2016 self? What would they be proud of you for?

🩷 This is your reminder to look after yourself! 🩷

As practitioners, we love creating space for others to feel nourished, replenished and safe to grow.

We can fall behind in giving ourselves that same care, especially when things are busy.

Let Valentine’s Day be a reminder to nurture all the types of love in our lives, including the love we have for ourselves.

I have some non-negotiables in my life that ensure I make time for myself and engage in practices that fill my cup so I’m pouring from a place of abundance when I work with clients.

🌟 I share some of my favourites in the new blog on the I Know This Girl website. Follow the link to read ‘Small Acts of Self-Love for Looking After Yourself as a Practitioner’: https://www.iknowthisgirl.co.uk/post/self-love-practices-for-practitioners

Return to nature, return to yourself. 🌿

I find immersing myself in nature to be wonderfully replenishing. It’s how I reset and recalibrate, coming back to myself and my purpose.

It’s one of the self-love practices I mention in my new blog on looking after yourself as a practitioner. Something it’s easy to forget to do because we are so passionate about holding space for others.

I felt like this was important to share because nurturing our relationship with ourselves means we give to others from abundance and empowerment. It helps us prevent exhaustion and burnout.

👉 Read the blog ‘Small Acts of Self-Love for Looking After Yourself as a Practitioner’ and let me know what self-love practice you’re going to make a non-negotiable: https://www.iknowthisgirl.co.uk/post/self-love-practices-for-practitioners

Also, my connection to nature is one of the things that inspired the new collections in the shop. The materials are all natural, giving them a wonderful grounding quality.

Introducing the IKTG Palo Santo smudging dish ✨

This natural, handcrafted dish is the perfect form to rest Palo Santo or sage as it releases curls of smoke into the air, creates a calming and grounding atmosphere and cleanses the space.

Like all our ceremony items, it’s made in Nepal using traditional techniques, tethering it to Palo Santo’s long history in native healing ceremonies.

Add this piece to your home, altar or practice room by pre-ordering the new Palo Santo smudging dish on the I Know This Girl website. (Link in bio)

Introducing the IKTG incense holder ✨

A beautiful foundation for your incense rituals, this dish is handmade in Nepal using natural techniques. The artisans have infused intention into each dish, designed to securely hold incense sticks or cones as they release aromas and curls of smoke into your sacred space.

Keep it in your home or studio to elevate your space with an elegant dish, even when you don’t have incense burning.

Pre-order the I Know This Girl incense holder on the website for the next time you want to carry out a ritual for clarity, calm and presence.
