What you won’t see me doing this time of year (or any time!) 👇
Offering massive discounts on my products! As the owner of I Know This Girl, a crystal singing bowl shop, the big black Friday sales we see around this time of year don’t sit right with me.
This is for a few reasons…
🔸 If brands can afford to offer 80% off then their margins must be incredibly huge. I offer the lowest price I can all year round.
🔸 I don't skimp on quality by getting things made cheaply. I want to give you the best possible product and make sure my artisans are getting paid fairly.
🔸 As a customer, it feels frustrating to buy something full price and then see it half price on sale a month later.
🔸 Clearing old stock at a discount is one thing, but having a strategy to price high and sell with a huge discount doesn't align with my brand values.
There are only two times when I offer discounts on my sound healing products.
🌟 I offer a small percentage off of sets because purchasing multiple items makes it feasible to give a price reduction as a thank you.
🌟 I have a loyalty program where I reward customers for supporting me. Their investment in my products allows me to keep growing so having a loyalty program feels like I'm honouring my customers in the best way possible.
