On Sunday, I participated in my first fencing 🤺competition. It was a tournament, so we had to compete against all the other participants. There were eight of us, which meant seven intense matches!
I set two goals for myself:
1️⃣ To score at least one point in each match.
2️⃣ To place better than last.
Honestly, I didn't believe I could achieve the second goal!😅
In the end, I managed to accomplish both goals. I scored more than one point in all but two matches, and I even won two of my fights, finishing just above last place.
Wow, it was quite an experience!😍
What did I learn?
🔥 Having clear outcomes is essential.
🔥Sometimes, we can work towards a goal even if we don't fully believe in it. When we gain momentum, we start to believe in ourselves.
🔥 Competing in seven fights in a row is a lot! It turns out that goggles can fog up inside the mask! 😄
How we play games is how we play life.
