LET'S HEAR FROM JO'S STUDENTS...
"Having always been interested in running and high intensity fitness I had never considered yoga as part of my lifestyle, until recently! Jo Finch is a superb teacher, her classes are balanced to take you through a full body (and mind!) workout and adapted to take into consideration all levels. Throughout the last 2 months I can not only notice a difference in my upper body strength but also my flexibility and state of mind. I thoroughly recommend you give it a go and you will be hooked!" Camilla, Fulham
"I was slightly apprehensive having never done a yoga class before before but Jo's calming voice, fab playlist, and clear instructions soon made me feel at ease. A stress release and full body workout - when is the next class?!" Sarah, Wandsworth
"I was suffering with a big case of "yoga fear" before starting with Jo. I felt like I should stick with other training due to some bad experiences at other studios. However, I am now a complete convert: Jo's classes have been a revelation to me both physically and spiritually. I have been able to develop at my own pace knowing I am practising each pose correctly due to her careful attention to alignment. Jo's classes give you a challenging workout, which is very important to me, but also focus on the more spiritual side of yoga, allowing you to learn about the discipline. I leave each class feeling a lot lighter and able to face the week. I can't recommend Jo highly enough." Gabrielle, Fulham
SO... WHAT IS POWER YOGA? Power Yoga is a fun but challenging style of yoga which focusses on building strength, balance and flexibility. Power Yoga is more vigerous and fitness based than other types of yoga so the pace of the class is usually a little faster with a variety of different poses to suit everyone's level. JO'S CLASSES
Jo offers group classes in Putney from £10 per head or one on one classes from £70. For more information please contact: jofinchyoga@gmail.com. ABOUT JO
Jo has been practising yoga for almost 9 years and qualified as a yoga teacher with Yoga London in 2014. Jo was initially attracted to yoga because of the physical benefits, but soon after embarking on a career in corporate law she came to realise that yoga offers a lot more than just a stretch and sweat: it provides space and stillness for the mind to help keep her grounded during those long, stressful days in the city. Before becoming a lawyer, Jo worked at the conservation charity, World Land Trust (www.worldlandtrust.org): a cause she continues to support in her role as an ambassador. Jo is passionate about nature, which is another reason why she was drawn to yoga: she says, "yoga brings us back to an innate peace of mind that is usually invoked by a natural setting, for example, when going for a walk through the forest or a swim in the ocean".
