Are you ready to upload your entire medical history to ChatGPT Health?

Here are some facts to bare in mind:

- EU vs US storage: consumer ChatGPT data is currently stored/processed in the US. It’s one of the reasons why the waitlist isn’t available if you’re in the UK/EEA/CH, that matters.
- If you’re considering to use a VPN to access ChatGPT Health anyway, that can:
breach terms
muddy jurisdiction
weaken your local protections
- US authorities can seize access to data held by US companies and have already done so under the CLOUD Act
- Don’t assume HIPAA would protect your data: if your health data moves from a covered healthcare flow into a consumer AI product via an integration, the legal protections don’t apply in the same way.

I’m not saying “don’t use it”. I’m saying: you either don’t feel like your health data leaked or resold would affect you or you must trust that OpenAI and its partners will keep your data secure, use it only for your benefit, honour their privacy promises in the long run and won’t go bankrupt.

Follow for Part 2 (more controversies + what to think about) and tell us if you’ve already joined ChatGPT Health waitlist.

If you’re in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, check out Health Data Avatar we’ve been building for two years. It’s fully GDPR-compliant, tested, encrypted at transit and rest, and already available to chat to your full health picture you can securely store, capture, understand and share with fine-grained privacy controls. Read our story and check out our demo account if you’re not yet ready to try HDA with your own data.

Juggling multiple chronic conditions is the invisible reality for millions: overlapping symptoms, conflicting treatment, and a mental load that never ends.

Another comment overheard on the bus, this passenger begins their overwhelming shift from managing a single diagnosis to navigating the complex, exhausting journey of three.

Let’s talk about the reality of the multimorbidity maze where overlapping symptoms and clashing treatments create a mental burden that never truly subsides.

A new year brings new opportunities to care for ourselves better.

By making health data a resolution, we can move from guesswork to clarity, from reaction to prevention, and from goals to measurable progress.

Happy New Year! 🎆

Festive season can be genuinely magical.
It can also be a minefield: loneliness, grief, family dynamics, chronic illness flare-ups, sensory overload, “why are we pretending everything’s fine?” energy.

A few things that help (and you can borrow my scripts):
1. Pick your mode: Celebrate / Survive / Hibernate. No moral hierarchy.
2. Use one boundary sentence. Repeat it. Don’t over-explain.
3. Budget energy like it’s finite (because for many of us, it is).
4. Pre-plan an exit route (outside/bathroom/quiet corner).
5. Schedule micro-rituals so the day doesn’t swallow you whole.
6. If you need it: allow one “sad slot”. Feel it on purpose, then soften.

If you’re on the move, or your nervous system is already doing a lot — focus on your essentials (sleep, food, meds) and keep your health data readily available with HDA.

Send this to those who need a reminder the holidays can be tough 💔
Comment with your best boundary line or fav survival tip or tag a friend who needs a gentler December.
