Osteoporose (im Volksmund: Knochenschwund) beschreibt eine krankhaft erhöhte Knochen­brüchigkeit.🦵💪

Bei Osteoporose verringert sich der Mineralgehalt in den Knochen, wodurch sie brüchig werden. Zu Beginn bleibt Osteoporose meist unbemerkt, aber mit fortschreitender Krankheit können anhaltende Beschwerden auftreten.

Folgende Risikofaktoren spielen bei Osteoporose eine Rolle:

🦴Lebensalter, Geschlecht & familiäre Veranlagung
🦴Bewegungsmangel
🦴Rauchen & starker Alkoholkonsum
🦴 Kalzium- & Vitamin-D-Mangel
