If you’re a prescribed medical cannabis patient, knowing your rights during a roadside stop matters.
In this reel, we break down the Field Impairment Test (FIT), what it involves, how it’s conducted, what officers should ask you beforehand (including about disabilities or medical conditions), and how your prescription fits into the process.

Education is protection.
Confidence comes from clarity.

Although the driver in this video was initially charged with Impairment, their condition was not accounted for. They were later found NOT GUILTY of all charges.

As a legally prescribed patient you have a statutory defence under the Road Traffic Act Section 5A, as long as you are not impaired and using your medication as prescribed.

The UTAW branch of CWU has passed a major motion to protect workers prescribed CBPM, tackling stigma, improving awareness, supporting reps, addressing unfair drug‑testing practices

The motion calls for:
✨ Better awareness & anti‑stigma work
✨ Clearer guidance for reps
✨ Fair, informed drug‑testing policies
✨ Collaboration with PatientsCannUK and other patient groups
✨ Awareness-raising through the union’s political link with the Labour Party

This is a huge step towards safer, more informed workplaces. 💚

✨ What a day! ✨
Our Medical Cannabis & Chronic Pain event at the magnificent Charterhouse was truly one to remember. 🌿

From the beautiful, historic setting to the educational, insightful, and emotional talks, it was a day filled with learning, connection, and community.

While there was a small misunderstanding at first, we’re grateful that our prearrangements for patients to medicate were honoured, ensuring everyone could feel comfortable and included throughout the day. 💚

The food was incredible, the conversations inspiring, and so many left not only with goodie bags and prizes, but with memorable moments that remind us why these events matter.
