I have suffered with mental health issues for many years, starting back in my teens. It's been suggested that my son also suffers at the small age of just 5 years old.

The topic of mental health is taboo, and many people refrain from discussing their health issues - it's time to remove the ignorance and get to know.

So has come and gone... but... that doesn't mean we have to stop talking about it for another 12 months!

I had severe depression and anxiety, especially when pregnant but I didn't get officially diagnosed until it was with post natal depression.
I'd been on around 7 different tablets for the last 5 years, CBT, counselling... wanted the world to leave me alone but then felt isolated at the same time. Couldn't be bothered to get out of bed, lived on redbull and unhealthy foods, drank high volumes regularly, lost people along the way and I just didn't care.

But...
It's been 10 months since I last had any medication for my anxiety and depression πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ’•

That doesn't mean I don't suffer at all, it just means I learned to control how I feel. I learned to re programme my mind and gave myself a new focus to keep my positive mental attitude. I can do things now that I could only ever dream of doing this time last year.

If you suffer with mental health issues, don't bottle it up... & just know, you ARE enoughπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
