At Mile 24, in front of our Cheer Zone, this runner cramped and hit the ground. One of our team, jumped in, stretched out his hamstring, and got him moving again.

The rest of the race was his. One foot in front of the other.

Mile 24. Temple Station. Our Cheer Zone is now an established course marker. A famous 10-metre tunnel of loud, frenzied, passionate supporters. From runner #00001 to the last across the line - every single one gets it.

Some have said it carried them home. That’s all we needed to hear.
