Mentoring for Acupuncturists and holistic health practitioners … Its having a “container” for your reflective practice. It’s having a relationship with someone who can see you , hear you and appreciate your hard work. All counselors and psychotherapists have supervision and mentoring and the rest of us are left in a bit of a limbo. A mentoring relationship has to be a good fit … Shop around for a mentor if •you are feeling isolated in your work •you are at risk of burnout •you have a problematic client and you need to air it • you are feeling like you are giving too much • you are constantly doing CPD but not implementing… If you are a holistic practitioner and need some support send me a message ! I’m trained to help in all these areas - I’ve been there ..

Celebrating the completion of my training in Mentoring and Supervision for Acupuncturists and Integrative Health practitioners and joining the Mentoring and Supervision Network...
The formidable women in the Network are running this training with great integrity and attentive awareness to all the aspects of our practice. (the non clinical parts)
To name a few : professional boundaries, burnout prevention, management of the inner critic, what to do in a crisis.
In order to support others we need to feel supported. How do we make sure we don't burn out ? Where do we turn when we feel overloaded ?
Mentoring is about being the best version of ourselves, by airing and articulating the obstacles to practice. We know most of the obstacles are mental / emotional and most of the time gentle reframing or deep listening are all we need to move on.
Mentoring and supervision sound like threatening words to practitioners that are unsupported - but the reality is that confidential disclosure, reflective practice and surrender to vulnerability does make us more resilient.
The process of being mentored and supervised creates a sense of deep connection.
Im feeling so grateful to be part of this and I'm looking forward to sharing these gifts with others.

… selling the root of He Shou wu aka Chinese Knotweed super Kidney tonic , keeps your hair from going gray as the translation would suggest ( Black haired Mr. He ) plant at the chinese botanical garden in Bristol… Lovely to see it growing here !

We have just launched a comprehensive three month fertility programme combining Acupuncture , Nutritional therapy and counselling for women and couples needing support in East London.

Mainly because it’s heartbreaking to see so many women going through so many rounds of IVF without addressing the underlying deficiencies that cause infertility in the first place …

This is to support women conceive naturally as well as those that for medical reasons require IVF.

IVF seems to be very fashionable right now but it’s not the only way… Acupuncture or Nutritional Therapy or Chinese Herbal medicine have proven efficacy as stand alone treatments.

There are countless accounts of women conceiving naturally after they have “relaxed” … Well simplistically our therapies fast forward you to that state !

One in six couples face difficulty in conceiving and most fertility treatments feel long, scary and women are left feeling unsupported.

Im very happy to share that I'm now a member of HOPA (The Hub of Paediatric Acupuncture).

I love treating children with Acupuncture and Homeopathy combined sometime using Shonishin ( no needle Japanese acupuncture ) if needed.

At Spitalfields Farm setting up a new project inside the Herbal Hide making tinctures and other herbal medicinals made with the herbs growing on the farm …Yesterday the harvest featured hyssop, lavender and rosemary.
