✨ **VBAC BY THE NUMBERS** ✨

Planning a VBAC? Here's what the evidence actually says 👇

**The success rate is HIGH** 📈
60-80% of people who attempt a VBAC will have a successful vaginal birth. That's a majority success rate!

**Uterine rupture risk is LOW** 💪
Only 0.5-1.4% — meaning you have a 98.6-99.5% chance it WON'T happen.

**Most mums are candidates** ✅
Around 90% of women who've had a caesarean are eligible to try for a VBAC.

**Why consider it?**
🤍 Lower maternal morbidity
🤍 Fewer risks in future pregnancies
🤍 Shorter recovery time
🤍 An empowering birth experience

Every birth journey is unique. These stats are here to inform, not pressure. The right choice is the one that feels right for YOU and your baby.

Birth influencers who act like there's only one right or superior way to have a baby...simply haven't seen enough. I see joy, disappointment, trauma, love, courage, and hope in ALL birth places and locations. I also firmly believe that everyone who gives birth loves their baby and wants the very best for their arrival. Be it at home, in the hospital, or the OR.

✨ My VBAC Story ✨

They told me my body had failed. That once a cesarean, always a cesarean. That I was “too risky.”

I heard the doubt in their voices. I saw the skepticism in their eyes. I felt the weight of everyone’s fears pressing down on me.

But something inside me refused to accept that narrative.

**I did the work.** I devoured books, studies, statistics. I found providers who believed in me. I surrounded myself with women who had walked this path before. I prepared my mind as much as my body.

**I sat with the fear.** There were nights I lay awake, hand on my belly, wondering if I was making the right choice. I let myself feel it all—the doubt, the hope, the fierce determination.

**I trusted myself.** I learned to tune out the noise and tune into my body. The same body they said had “failed” me—I chose to believe it knew exactly what to do.

And when the waves came, I surrendered to them.

I breathed. I moved. I roared. I pushed.

**And I did it.**

My baby was placed on my chest, and in that moment, I wasn’t just meeting my child—I was meeting a version of myself I didn’t know existed.

To anyone standing where I once stood: Your body is not broken. Your story is not written yet. ————————————-

The questions that make us uncomfortable? Those are usually the ones we need most. 👀

I’ve been doing this work for a while now, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

**The best birth workers aren’t the ones who have it all figured out—they’re the ones willing to keep asking the hard questions.**

So I created this carousel as a self-check. A gentle (but honest) mirror for those of us who hold space for others.

Swipe through and ask yourself:

↠ Am I truly holding space—or am I holding an agenda?
↠ Do I trust birth unconditionally—or only when it looks a certain way?
↠ Can I fully support a client who chooses differently than I would?
↠ Am I bringing my own unprocessed birth experiences into the room?
↠ Is my presence a gift to my clients—or a pressure?

Here’s the thing: **There’s no shame in sitting with these questions.**

None of us are perfect. We’re all growing. And growth? It lives in the uncomfortable spaces. 🌿

This isn’t about guilt. It’s about becoming the birth worker your clients truly deserve. ——————

💬 This work is too important to do alone. If you’re a birth worker ready to go deeper—to unpack your biases, refine your practice, and truly show up for VBAC families—I want to hear from you.

📩 DM me “READY” and let’s talk about what intentional VBAC support actually looks like.
