· At more than 24st (152.4kg), Raymond ‘Ray’ Brown was resigned to living life in the shadows· Now after losing 11½st (73kg) with Slimming World, Ray is entering his 40s full of confidence· Since losing half his bodyweight he has now been named one of Slimming World’s Icons for 2026

I was referred to Slimming World and I am now four stones lighter and feeling better than ever. Food optimising and group support are keys to success.

After seeing danger level results at a Well Woman check-up at my GP I was left feeling depressed and old. I got a 12-week Countdown though the Slimming World on Referral scheme, lost a stone in weight and friends and family commented on how well I was looking. Weekly group support motivated and inspired me to go on achieve my weight-loss success.

I grew up and got married in Bellingham so jumped at the opportunity to be a Slimming World Consultant in the area. I’ve been helping members lose weight at St Dunstan’s since 2015 and opened my second group at Beckenham Public Hall two years later.
