Some changes do not happen through effort.
They happen when attention softens.

What has served its time, now is time to let go.
Not by pushing it away,
but by allowing the nervous system to rest
and choose a new rhythm.

This is the quiet space where hypnotherapy works —
beneath habits, beneath stories,
where the mind remembers how to settle
and the body remembers how to respond differently.

May the year ahead bring moments of deep pause.
May insight arise without pressure.
May transformation feel natural, not forced.

Sometimes the most profound change
begins the moment you stop trying
and allow yourself to listen.

I’ve just published a new academic paper exploring a different way of working with biological and genomic data.

Instead of asking “What does this predict?” or “What does this diagnose?”, the paper asks a more straightforward and more honest question:

How do we interpret complex biological signals without pretending we know more than we do?

The article introduces GenUni, an interpretive genomic system designed to contextualise genomic variation within temporal, regulatory, and environmental dynamics—without providing diagnoses, predictions, or clinical recommendations. It focuses on how interpretation itself can become fragile under load, misalignment, or long-term compensation.

At the heart of the work is a distinction that often gets lost in digital health:

measurement is not meaning.

The paper proposes a class of technology called interpretive regulatory systems—tools that help orient understanding while deliberately preserving uncertainty and human responsibility.

The work sits at the intersection of genomics, circadian regulation, systems thinking, and AI ethics. It is openly available on Zenodo for anyone interested in these questions—researchers, clinicians, technologists, or those simply uneasy with how confidently algorithms now speak about human bodies.

Sometimes the most responsible thing a system can say is not “here is the answer”, but “here is what makes answers uncertain right now.”

I’m opening a commission-based collaboration for someone comfortable finding buyers and negotiating value.

This is not employment and not hourly work.
It’s for an independent person who enjoys starting conversations, explaining value, and closing agreements — without pressure or manipulation.

What the role involves:
– Finding potential buyers
– Starting sales conversations
– Negotiating price within clear limits
– Closing sales independently

No leads are provided — you create them.
No therapy, coaching, or technical delivery is involved.

How payment works:
– Commission only
– Percentage agreed upfront, per sale
– The remainder goes to the business
– Earnings depend on results, not time

You’ll start with one clearly defined wellbeing technology product, with the option to expand later if the collaboration works well for both sides.

This suits you if:
– You’re comfortable approaching new people
– You can talk about value calmly and honestly
– You don’t need close supervision
– You prefer autonomy and responsibility

This is not for you if:
– You’re looking for a fixed salary
– You expect inbound leads
– You use aggressive sales tactics

If this resonates, send me a short message answering one question:

How do you usually find people who are genuinely interested in what you sell?

Clarity matters more than experience.

Today I filed a UK patent application for my Support Seniors monitoring system — application number GB2522375.1.

It’s built around a simple promise: more safety, less intrusion.

Instead of storing raw video or audio, the system converts what it senses into privacy-preserving, time-based metrics (movement patterns, posture changes, night-time activity trends, environmental context). The raw media doesn’t need to live on.

What matters isn’t one dramatic moment, but the quiet drift across days:
less movement than usual, more night disruption, slower transitions, patterns that suggest “something is changing” — with context, not panic.

This is designed to support older adults living independently, and to give families and carers clearer signals with fewer false alarms.

If you’re working in home care, assisted living, or supportive technology and you’d like to talk about deployment, partnerships, or real-world pilots, message me.

I’ve put a new tool online: NLSM Triage — a guided way to explore patterns in how we speak (and how we sound).

It’s not a diagnosis and it doesn’t try to replace a clinician. Instead, it offers gentle “pattern consistency” cues:
• build a personal baseline over time
• speak or type your answers (with transcript review/edit)
• see what you might want to explore next — with safety-first guardrails

If you’re curious, you can try it here:

Beyond Measures: The Mathematics of Emotion is now available on Amazon.

This book explores emotions as structured experiences rather than disorderly reactions. Love, grief, courage, awe — each examined through symbolic formulas, reflection, and visual language. It is an attempt to describe the inner world with precision, without reducing its depth.

𝘼 𝙣𝙚𝙬, 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨

As people age, even subtle changes in movement, sleep, or daily rhythm can signal important shifts in well-being. These signals often appear quietly, long before they become urgent.

I’m developing 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙨 to help families notice these early patterns in a safe, gentle, and privacy-respecting way.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨
A small Raspberry Pi device is placed in the home.
It does not store or replay video.
Instead, it converts activity into simple, secure data such as:

• movement and posture
• near-falls
• night wandering
• long inactivity
• possible distress (for cameras with microphones)

This creates insight without invading privacy.

𝘿𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨
Each day, the system generates clear summaries:

• gait speed
• upright vs. resting time
• night activity
• early mobility or activity decline
• number of near-falls

These trends allow families to act early — not after a crisis.

𝘾𝙍𝙎 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣
When connected to the 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙝𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙢 𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙚 (𝘾𝙍𝙎) 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙡, the system gains a deeper understanding by comparing behaviour with:

• sleep windows
• circadian alignment
• hydration
• steps
• HRV
• daylight exposure
• mood patterns

Together, these data points provide a more comprehensive picture of well-being.

𝙊𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙄 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩
AI can provide a written interpretation of the trends — but only when requested manually.
It helps point out possible concerns without overwhelming the family.

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨
Older adults deserve dignity, independence, and safe surroundings.
Families deserve reassurance, not constant worry.

Support Seniors aims to make this possible:
a calm, respectful way to understand early changes and respond before problems escalate.
