When I look at the world today, I don’t just see “bad leaders” or broken systems.
I see unhealed children holding adult power.
From Gaza, to Venezuela, what’s playing out on the world stage feels less like strategy, and more like psyche. Old wounds and nervous systems locked in survival. Power used as a shield against terror, shame, and helplessness.
An unheld child grows into an adult who must dominate, control, split the world into “us and them,” because their inner world is too painful to feel.
So war becomes projection.
Oppression becomes dissociation.
Cruelty becomes a way to avoid grief.
This doesn’t excuse harm but it begins to explain it, so that we can try to understand.
When trauma goes unexamined, it doesn’t disappear, it actually scales. It moves from the family system into the global one.
It enters institutions. Borders. Armies. Economies.
I believe it is time to DISRUPT this chaotic and destructive unconscious.
the healing of our species will not come only from new policies, but from new people. People willing to feel. To mourn. To metabolise rage, terror, and shame instead of acting them out.
Every time one nervous system learns safety, the world gets a little less dangerous.
The most radical political act may be this:
to tend the wounded child within, so they are no longer running the world.
