Susan Harker is a qualified Biokineticist whose passion is to help her clients improve their quality of life through exercise and movement, in particular using Pilates. Since attaining her degree in 1998 Susan has a long list of REP’s qualifications in the treatment of injuries relating to the lower back, ankles, hip, groin, arms and shoulders, as well as rehabilitation following ACL surgery. Susan’s work with her clients is focussed around Pilates; both mat and reformer. By combining her advanced expertise of Pilates with her work as a Biokineticist she helps her clients to:
*Improve posture by strengthening core supporting muscles
*learn how to age without stooping
*increase strength, flexibility and mobility
*learn how to prevent spine shrinkage
*invest in your muscular and joint health
*stay independent so you can look, feel and move better
Based at the Balance Gym at the Novotel Hotel in Hammersmith, Susan’s clients can enjoy their 1-1 sessions with Susan located in a premier location with access to a wide range of high quality equipment. Many of Susan’s client are over 50 and have previously suffered from joint stiffness and have felt that they have lost flexibility and are trying to prevent becoming stooped and hunched over. However through Susan’s expertise and help with her rehabilitation Pilates sessions they are soon feeling stronger with improved balance. To quote one of her clients; “Pilates has improved my flexibility, muscle tone and increased my energy levels and improved my sleeping patterns. At my age, 75 I am aware that I am more physically active than any of my contemporaries”
