๐Ÿ˜Alan has lost an incredible 12 stone with The 1:1 Diet and is now much healthier, fitter๐Ÿ’ช and no more health concerns! From huffing๐Ÿ’ค and puffing on short walks to climbing Ben Nevis with his son.

"When I reached 70 I realised how heavy I had become and didnโ€™t feel great. I had not been sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ดwell as I never felt comfortable in bed. My knees were really sore๐Ÿฅบ due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and on occasions I could hardly put one๐Ÿฆถ foot ๐Ÿฆถby another.

๐Ÿ™ˆMy energy levels๐Ÿฅฑ dropped quite low๐Ÿ˜ฆ and I felt like I was just getting through each day. Back in 2002 I had a heart๐ŸคŽ attack but even that wasnโ€™t enough for me to change my bad habits permanently. ๐Ÿค”There must be something more to life than merely existing and I was determined to find it.

๐Ÿ‘‰I heard about The 1:1 Diet from a friend, and then I found my ๐Ÿ™โ€โ™€๏ธconsultant who was so supportive. There and then I decided I wanted my life๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŠ back.

๐ŸŽฏFast forward and I had lost 11 stone in the space of a year! ๐ŸŽ‰BUT I wasnโ€™t done yet, I moved up the Steps gradually increasing my fitness๐Ÿƒ and now weigh in at 11st 6lbs, with a BMI of 21.1. I have been maintaining my weight loss every since.

๐ŸŽŠI now walk ๐Ÿšถup to 12k in the morning๐Ÿ•• before breakfast. Iโ€™ve joined a local gym to tone and build muscle๐Ÿ‹ strength. Iโ€™m now living life to the full doing things Iโ€™ve always wanted to do such as a bi-plane โœˆ๏ธflight (a Fatherโ€™s Day gift from my proud daughter!) with no worry about the weight restrictions. ๐ŸคฉHaving exhausted climbing all the hills locally I completed my biggest challenge yet... Bethโ€™s amazing journey started after being bridesmaid twice for two very close friends and instead of feeling great on the day she felt angry and sad that she hadn't lost the weight sheโ€™d promised herself she would. When she saw the photos from the wedding she was mortified and that made her take action to find a Consultant and start The 1:1 Diet. She hasnโ€™t looked back sinceโ€ฆ

โ€œI have now lost almost 5 stone in 27 weeks which averages out at 2.5lbs a week which is something that blows my mind.

Calories: 200 kcal
Steps: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Ingredients
100g thin green beans, trimmed
2 pak choi, halved or quartered
2 x 175g skinned haddock fillets
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
juice of 1 lime
4 spring onions, thinly sliced
1 red chilli, deseeded and thinly shredded
freshly ground black pepper


This combines some fresh and piquant flavours with just a hint of heat from the chilli. Donโ€™t worry if you donโ€™t have a steamer. Put the plate in a colander, covered with a lid, over a pan of simmering water.

How to Make Steamed Haddock
Arrange the beans and pak choi on a plate and place the haddock fillets on top. Season lightly with black pepper. Put the plate inside a large steamer basket and place over a pan of simmering water.
Steam, covered, for 6โ€“10 minutes until the vegetables are just tender and the haddock is cooked through and translucent.
Meanwhile, mix together the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, lime juice, spring onions and chilli in a small bowl to make a dressing.
Arrange the vegetables and haddock on 2 serving plates and drizzle the dressing over the top. Serve hot.
Variations
โ€ข You can substitute firm-fleshed cod fillets in place of the haddock.

โ€ข Vary the vegetables: choose from mangetout or sugar snap peas, cabbage, spring greens, curly kale or asparagus.

STEP IT UP ...
โ€ข On Steps 3 and 4, serve with plain boiled rice (50g dry weight per portion) and 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce.

2 x 125g thick cod fillets
1 stick lemongrass, peeled and diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
Juice of 1 lime
Spray oil
200g cherry tomatoes on the vine
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
100g baby carrots, coarsely chopped
100g courgettes, coarsely chopped
100g spring greens, shredded
1 tsp soy sauce
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 lime wedges, for squeezing
