When I met Matthias in January, he had been off the Gym throughout the lockdown. His only goal was to get back into the routine and be fit.

His lower body was solid; he could push on 80 kg during our first session. However, he had not much upper body strength.

Over the few months, he maintained better upright positioning by strengthening his mid and upper posterior trunk and grip, therefore 105 kg on squat and finally some reps on toes to bar.

He didn't only take responsibilities; he owned them. Firstly ha has been consistent. How hard can the diet be if you eat everything you like but less of’em? And yes, it paid off; lost 12 kg.

I am proud of him.

These kinds of messages or emails are most common in my mailbox.
How do you like to sit at the office? Many people are most comfortable sitting with one leg crossed over the other; some aren't aware of this habit until their feet go numb.

How bad is it to sit with crossed legs? We all should be able to sit as we feel comfortable unless that specific position is the only comfortable position. If you sit for several hours a day and get up feels like an obstacle; maybe your body is adapting to the sitting position and already niggling. And I say; you may want to do something about it. Try your best to change the HABIT.

Several studies have revealed that crossing a leg while sitting can cause spinal deformities and is more pronounced in patients with lower back pain; this doesn't happen overnight.

It is not a good idea to apply unnecessary pressure on areas that will not only affect your blood circulation but compress your nerves as a short-term response; you will feel tired.

*Change your position often, and most importantly, sit upright and let the energy flow head to toe.
