I don’t work weekends but I do answer messages. Good job really, I’ve taken four bookings today for this coming week!
Monday now full but space for five more appointments through the rest of the week. 👍

How are the New Year’s Resolutions coming on 💪?
Make sure you gently stretch any muscles after you’ve worked them. This can help to retain your range of movement and prevent injury.
Here’s this week’s schedule. Plenty of options but I only have capacity for six more bookings.

Here’s this week’s availability. It looks like a lot but as I only do three a day I’ve only got capacity for six more bookings.
Wednesday is full already and just one available for Thursday.
You may well have sports events booked in the calendar but have you got your massage therapy sorted?

Can I book online?
Whilst I have a few talents, I.T. isn’t one of my strongest. I’ve always been more of a hands-on type of chap, which I guess is what you’d hope for from a massage therapist😉
Booking is easy though and you don’t even need to talk to me. Just drop me a message, watts app, text or email, and I will send you an up to date schedule for the weeks you request.
I try to be flexible which is why the schedule has so many options but I only do three appointments a day. Giving an hour of massage is physically tiring so by limiting myself to three I make sure I can give 100% to each appointment.

Happy New Year to you all 🤗
Good luck to you if you’re starting the year with fitness intentions, here are a few brief tips to help keep you injury free.
1. Start with a warm up.
2. Make targets achievable, if you do 3 sets of 10 consider doing 3 sets of 8-12 Reps instead, a flexible goal helps it to be more achievable.
3. If you work out daily, alternate your muscle groups. Muscles need 48-72 hours to repair or “Adapt” If you go again too soon the muscles will tire before they get chance to strengthen.
4. After a workout, gentle stretching helps return muscles to their pre effort length, this will help maintain range of motion and flexibility.
5. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” Benjamin Franklin.
6. I can help you with 5 🤗
Book in for a loosen, a range of motion check, or help and advice with muscular or joint issues generally.

Wishing all of my lovely clients (and potential clients 😉) a very Merry Christmas 🥂
Thank you all for making this chapter in my life so fulfilling 🤗
It has been another busy year of helping some amazing people with a plethora of sports needs.
100 mile Endurance running, Ultra Marathons, Marathons, Half Marathons, 10K, 5K, Trail-running, Nordic walking, Hiking, Cycling, Pool Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Rugby, Football, Hockey, Cross-fit, Ultimate Frisbee, Hyrox, Softball, Volleyball, Tennis, Snowboarding and Weight training!
I am trained in Sports massage therapy, we put emphasis on learning anatomy and muscle actions so we can best target our treatment.
This anatomy knowledge also comes in very useful indeed when treating any ache, pain or strain, whether it’s sport related or not.
If you’ve ever asked yourself, is it for me? Don’t base your decision on your sporting prowess!
Merry Christmas to you all. X

Hot on the heels of a memorable career in Avon Fire and Rescue Service, my new passion continues my desire to interact with and help people.
Now a member of FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) I trained with the fantastic Cotswold Academy in Cirencester where I achieved an ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy in 2018 and, an ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy in 2019.
I’ve always had a passion for sport with cycling being my number one hobby. Over the years I’ve taken part in many cycling events both on and off road and I’ve also enjoyed a quick sprint around the velodrome.
I played softball for ten years for Bristol team The Guppies, always first division and occasional champions. Success on and off the pitch meant hooking up with my wife of 16 years, Rebecca, another Guppies player at the time.
I’ve had a passing acquaintance with many other sports over the years including Volleyball, Squash, Badminton, Tennis, Table tennis, Skiing, Snowboarding, Cricket, Sailing, Golf, Pilates and once, when I was late for an appointment, I had a go at running.
I have first hand experience of injury and illness and I know how debilitating these can be, both physically and mentally. The links between physical activity and mental health are well known. Having received sports massage therapies myself I know that a swift return to your chosen sport or hobby can boost not just your health, but also your wellbeing.
You don’t need to be a sports person to benefit from sports massage therapy. I am trained to treat soft tissue dysfunction and diagnose a range of injuries. If you are getting aches and pains in muscles or even joints this may be caused by tension or damage in the muscles. Poor posture, repetitive strain, overuse and stress can all benefit from sports massage therapy.
Treatments are provided in my dedicated treatment room at home in Long Ashton. I have also supported events such as the Bath Half Marathon and the Great Weston Ride, providing pre and post event massage. It has also been a pleasure to stay in touch with my old friends and colleagues from Avon Fire and Rescue and it’s my hope to continue supporting them with their charity endeavours.
Please get in touch if you think there’s something I can help you with, all the best.
