Need to warm up this winter?

With the rising cost of energy, keeping warm at home isn’t always easy. You are not alone.

Across Derbyshire, there are Warm Spaces you can visit for free, places where you can enjoy a hot drink, have a chat, and stay warm for a while.

These spaces are welcoming, friendly, and open to everyone. Sometimes a warm brew and a bit of company can make all the difference.

Find your nearest Warm Space here: https://www.warmwelcome.uk/
(Spaces will be updated throughout December and January).

✨ One of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing is Connection ✨
The Christmas season can be a challenging time for many, but one of the best ways to boost your wellbeing is to reach out and connect with others. This could be spending time with family or friends, starting a conversation, offering a compliment or sharing a moment of gratitude 💬

Our community is fantastic and offers so many opportunities to build meaningful connections. There are community groups, activities and volunteering opportunities that welcome everyone, and The Social Prescribing team are here to help people find the support or connections that feel right for them 🤝

One of the fabulous things we have on offer in Erewash are Warm Spaces, including our own Warm Space called Toasty Thursdays. Please see the image below that highlights all the warm spaces in the area ❤️

💚Christmas Jumper Day December 11th 2025

Christmas Jumper Day is one of Save the Children's biggest annual fundraising events. It's been going since 2012!

Every December we ask schools, workplaces, and community and friend groups to put on a Christmas jumper and donate whatever they can afford. And every year, millions of you join us in making the world better in a sweater.

By taking part this year you can help support kids and families who are having to deal with an increasingly volatile world. We'll use the money raised on Christmas Jumper Day to help children in the UK and all around the world stay safe, healthy and learning - and change their future for good.
