Beckie The People's Dance Co entertained our residents with wartime songs to sing along to. 🎶
We also done movements with using props and waving hands and tapping feet. A very entertained afternoon.

Susan once again delighted residents with a presentation for Remembrance Sunday. The focus was the peace Rose. We learnt the history of this Rose and other flowers that represent Remembrance like the blue cornflower in France; the marigold in India and of course the red Poppy here at home. Residents found looking at Rose seeds fascinating. We also created a memorial garden with different colour roses and residents enjoyed singing songs like ' long way to Tipperary ' waving our flag. Thank you Sue for bringing this to us!!

Yesterday we done Creative Mojo arts with Nina, creating a wonderful picture on Armistice Day.
On Flanders Fields the poppy blows between the crosses row on row.
The red poppies of the fields of Flanders have come to represent the memory of fallen soldiers. They are reminder to all of us we show remember, lest we forget. 💮🍁

Hazelwood Care Home fireworks went off with a bang, our name the guy raised £140 for our Make a Wish Charity and the lucky winner was Carol and his name is Kevin. Thank you to everyone that came we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did🎆🎇

Today we had a Infection Control fun day at Hazelwood Care Home, staff had lots of fun using the ultra violet hand washing machine to show how clean their hands were after cleaning them. All staff done very well and we had 2 winners with immaculately clean hands and they were Alison & Iromi and they received a small token of appreciation

Today we have been very busy preparing for Halloween with lots of pumkin carving, they are placed around the home for all to see 🎃

This afternoon's entertainment saw Tilly singing songs from the 1950's and 60's. Residents enjoyed singing along; clapping and tapping away to the tunes of The Beatles, Nancy Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Sandy Shore, James Brown etc. Everyone had a great time!!

A brilliant musical afternoon with Barnfire playing a selection of music from France, Ireland, Scotland, Eastern Europe, America and much more tunes for everyone to join in. 🎸🎻🎶
The sounds moved us all and everyone took part in clapping, and toe tapping. 😊

We had our monthly church service this morning with a focus on the Harvest time. Residents enjoyed singing ' We plough the fields, and scatter'; ' All things bright and beautiful' hymns and saying a prayer of thanks.

Residents took part in a very enjoyable sports afternoon playing football, rugby and tennis in groups on the A team and B team. ⚽️🏈🎾
Each side was competing with each other and at the end of the game residents won a gold trophy.🏆
