Support for people living with dementia and their carers 🗣

Why not come along to our next session of Campfire and Conversation? These sessions are extremely relaxed and allow the natural flow of conversation.

It’s an opportunity to discuss your interests in a calm environment with no pressure. There will be optional activities running including:

✅ Gentle mobility
✅ Conversation
✅ Reminiscence
✅ Crafts and snacks

All based around a campfire. Activities are user led, based on the needs and interest of those attending.

You don't need to bring anything all equipment and refreshments are provided. We do advise you to come dressed in weather appropriate clothing and if you have a camping chair you can bring that along too!

Open to all of the Western Parishes. Are you a community group, business, school, church group and would like to be part of the procession through Longton?

I regret to inform you all that knew my lovely friend and exceptionally talented therapist of the sad news of Sandra’s passing. She will be sorely missed. 🙏🏻🥲❤️

The family of the late Mrs Sandra Birch have asked us to announce that she sadly passed away peacefully on 30th December 2025 at Queens Court Southport aged 60 years. Sandra will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends and all who knew her.
Her funeral service will take place on Monday 19th January 2026 at 2pm at West Lancashire Crematorium. The funeral procession will leave from 4 Blackacre Lane at approximately 1.40pm. Family flowers only please donations if desired in aid Queens Court Hospice. A donation box will be present on the day.
All are welcome to join the family at The Kicking Donkey pub following the service to continue to celebrate Sandra's life.
