We are truly saddened to announce the passing of Sarah Blakeley who passed away peacefully at DGRI on Sunday 2nd November aged 87 years.
Auntie Sarah was much loved by her 9 nephews, 3 nieces, a loving great auntie, great great auntie, great great great auntie and a true friend to many.
A service to celebrate the long life of Auntie Sarah will be held in All Saints Church Gretna at 11am on Friday 21st November followed by interment in Rigg Cemetery.

All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. Donations in Sarah’s memory will be divided between Gretna Day Centre and Alzheimer’s Research Scotland.
The family would like to ask those who are attending the service to wear something bright to reflect Auntie Sarah’s personality.

We are sad to announce the passing of Royston Abbott (Rossy).

Peacefully at home on the 20th October 2025, Rossy aged 69 years.
Devoted and much loved husband of Helen, loving dad of Suzanne and Caroline, treasured father-in-law of John, dearest grandaddy of Louise and Joseph, loved son, brother and a dear friend to many.

A service to celebrate Rossy’s life will be held at All Saints Church, Scaleby on Monday 17th November at 12:30pm, followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only, donations if so desired in Rossy’s memory will be for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Peacefully at home on the 20th of October, Ian aged 72 years (formerly of Becklees Farm).
Devoted dad of Richard and Jenny, much loved Pa of Imogen and Bridget, father-in-law of Sally and always at the end of a telephone to many.

Funeral service to be held at Carlisle Crematorium on Wednesday 12th November at 11:40 am. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only, donations if so desired will be for his friends at Headway North Cumbria and Gretna Day Centre.
