^^New Sponsor - Waffle ^^

Waffle is a (nearly) 4 year old cheeky Border Terrier from Buckinghamshire.
Having completed the KC Bronze Good Citizenship & trained for obedience, we took these skills to KC agility, where she has had great success & graded up to G2 in the first year of competition. As well as enjoying agility, she also loves going for long walks and daytime naps!

We look forward to supporting waffle with her agility, the first event being a week long show next week!

Arthritis causes chronic pain which is an insidious, consistent and often low-intensity pain that can be hard to identify. Humans highlight the presence of chronic pain by talking about it as it is often not visible, whereas animals express it behaviorally. Your vet may have to put your dog on pain relief to see if the signs that they were showing were actually pain-related.

Joined Wynnie for her swimming this weekend 😍😍😍 now 13 weeks post TPLO and doing great! Trotting hill work, direction and speed changes in the plan now building up to getting off the lead again (and chasing more 🦌 eventually!)

There is clear evidence in human and veterinary medicine supporting that carrying too much body weight is not good for arthritis. Not only through the actual weight of the fat but also due to the effect it has on the inflammation within the joints due to the compounds that live in the fat.

It's

It may come as a surprise to some that this disease can actually affect all animals not just humans. πŸ• 🐈 🐎

At least 80% of dogs over the age of 8 years old have arthritis and it HURTS - untreated it is considered to be the disease with the biggest impact on companion animal welfare 😒

Recognising the signs and acting quickly is the best way to get a good outcome for our dogs.

Make sure to check out our website https://bit.ly/2TLUcLF to find out more about the signs and what we can do to keep our dogs free from pain

Different terrains can be a useful way to challenge proprioception and neuromuscular control, and to work those muscles a little bit harder. It doesn’t have to be the stickiest mud they can find!

So grateful for these girls πŸ’•πŸ’•
