The partnership with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) with Light Blue Clinic enables final year sports therapy students to work with Cambridge University Rowing Club (CUBC, male athletes).

ARU sports therapy students play a vital role in enhancing athlete’s recovery and minimising time lost due to an injury.

A new exciting partnership with Bedford School and George's visit!

From winning The Boat Race in April this year to wining a World Championship in China last September.

George Bourne in a four with two other Cambridge alumni James Robson & Douwe De Graaf and Dan Graham (not yet a Cambridge alumni 😉) dominated their race and won a gold medal at World Championships!

A week ago, George found a moment to share his rowing journey full of ups and downs with Bedford School students.

The room was full of enthusiastic rowing adepts, who were asking questions till the very last moment when George left the building 👏

A warm welcome to our new physiotherapist Ellie!

Bookings with Ellie are available at both clinics in Girton and Goldie Boathouse.

Ellie graduated from the University of Southampton as a physiotherapist in 2024 and since then she has been completing qualifications in dry needling and Accupuncture, sports massage, and instrument assisted massage to build on her skills.

Currently competing in a netball team and having grown up with a sporting background, Ellie understands how fustrating an injury can be and she will be there to offer various rehabilitation techniques support you through recovery. She has a particular interest in manual techniques and is excited to further her current skills through support of light blue clinic! 👏

Female athletes are more prone to develop a complicated relationship with food due to the unrealistic expectations of social media, society or peer pressure.

Together with Susie Dear former GB rower we delve into nutrition for female rowers, low energy availability (LEA) & relative energy deficiency in sports (RED-S), training volume and menstrual cycle disturbances.

We highlight the need to equip female athletes with various tools that would help with an early detection of undereating, while preventing them from developing serious health issues.

Every year, Hills Road Sixth Form sport students use full body cryotherapy, ice baths and learn about various massage techniques at our Girton clinic.

The experience helps with finalising their coursework.
