We are in the privileged position to be offering the local community the highest quality personalised care, in Alton, Petersfield, Hindhead and surrounding areas. We support and enhance the lives of people within the comfort and security of their own homes. Our focus at Home Instead is entirely centred around the people and relatives whom we support. We take great pride in doing things differently, especially in the compassion and warmth of our dedicated team of CAREGivers, which is reflected by the quality of care they deliver and also in offering hour visits as a minimum to ensure that the needs of our clients are fully met. The underlying essence and commitment of the service we offer is to afford total flexibility and individual consideration for the needs and requirements of our clients. Our aim is to promote independence and dignity for our clients through identifying their own specific needs and aspirations through a variety of care and support options. We can provide an endless choice of non-medical care which could include: companionship, meal preparation, assisting with home tasks or paying bills, medication reminders or making appointments, trips or visits, continuation of hobbies and interests, attending clubs, recording family history or enjoying watching classic films………it is a very personal choice. When Personal Care is required, then our CAREGivers can offer support in all aspects of an individuals’ personal needs – from short-term support when returning home from hospital stays to caring for long term conditions with more complex and specialised needs. Our CAREGivers are trained specialists in Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care. They receive regular and ongoing training to keep up to date with developments in the management and support of these conditions. We work closely to support families who are faced with the challenges associated with a relative being diagnosed with dementia. As a fundamentally significant part of this support we offer free and comprehensive training for family members in this situation.

❄️ 5 Ways to Support an Older Neighbour This Winter ❄️

Cold months can feel isolating, but small acts of kindness make a big difference. Here are five simple ways to help:

❄️Check in regularly – a quick call or knock at the door shows you care.
❄️Offer practical help – pick up shopping, post letters, or clear icy paths.
❄️Share warmth – invite them for tea, or drop off a hot meal.
❄️Keep them connected – help set up video calls or share local news.
❄️Look out for safety – make sure they have blankets, working heating, and emergency numbers handy.

Together, we can make winter brighter and safer for everyone in our community. 🌟

Supporting a loved one with care is a full-time act of love. During Self-Care Week, we encourage family carers to take small steps for themselves—whether it’s a quiet cup of tea, a walk, or reaching out for support. Your wellbeing matters as much as theirs.

💡 Did You Know?
At Home Instead, we don’t just assign Care Professionals—we match them. We take time to pair each client with someone who suits their personality, interests, and care needs.

Because when the match is right, care feels more like connection—and that makes all the difference.
