It has been a peaceful few days at Lound 💛Shirley has been partaking in some colourful yarn weaving and June and Pauline took a trip out into the garden to check out the springtime flowers and to get some fresh air. It’s amazing how a little sunshine can lift the spirits ☀️

Yesterday we had an utterly charming visit from Evie’s Owls. Mark brought along a barn owl and a tawny who have been reared by humans and as such they form great bonds with us. We learnt lots of fascinating information about the owls including the fact that in wild their life expectancy is 5 years but in captivity it’s 25 years! Shirley commented that the owls were delightful and to be fair, I think Pauline’s face says it all ❤️🦉

Lyn joined us yesterday to help the residents create a brand new Springtime wreath which is now hanging in pride of place at the front door 🐇

Charlotte had a full lounge on Wednesday for a jam tart baking masterclass! Everyone loved getting stuck in mixing up the pastry and choosing their favourite jam 🍓but mostly we enjoyed getting to eat them at the end 😋

Our Falcons were back on the pitch yesterday, battling their socks off in a cup game for the Norfolk & Suffolk Youth League.

🏆Player of the Match – U13 Falcons 🏆
Name: Noah
Position: Defender extraordinaire
Match: Gorleston Rangers Falcons U13s vs Gorleston Spitfires u13s
Date: 22nd February 2026
Result: Falcons 3-1 Spitfires

🔥 Noah is player of the match! A cup quarter final can set nerves jangling but no such problems for Noah! Filling in on the right side of defence Noah was alert to danger and quick to take the opportunity to attack!

💬 Coach’s Comment: “Noah showed his versatility today, filling in at the back when we needed cover and performed magnificently! Solid in the tackle, the pace to turn defence into attack and some silky skills capped a marvellous performance!”

The Falcons go through to the semifinals and we couldn’t be more proud 💪🏻
💚🤍⚽️
