Wondering what our machines do?🤔

This is an OCT scannner (Ocular Coherence Tomography). It allows us to see the eye as a 3D image and the deeper layers that we can’t see from just taking a normal retina picture. It helps us detect certain diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration upto 4 years in advance👏🏽🔎

Meet Anna☀️👁️

Anna is an optometrist and part owner at CK opticians, she has been working in optics for 24 years🔎

Her favourite part of the job is meeting and helping people🫶🏽

When Anna was doing A levels she saw the prospectus for Optometry and decided it sounded perfect, combining science with direct patient care. After her degree she did her pre-registration year with her dad, who shared his experience to help Anna develop her communication skills and putting theoretical knowledge into practice👓
