Hi, I’m David, a qualified Sports Therapist and Massage Therapist with a passion for helping people move better, feel better, and live pain-free.
I graduated from the University of Chichester with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Injury and Rehabilitation, and also hold a Level 5 qualification in Sports Massage Therapy from the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester. I’m also currently working towards a degree in Sports Psychology, expanding my understanding of how the mind and body work together in recovery, performance, and overall wellbeing.
My training combines in-depth knowledge of injury management with advanced hands-on treatment techniques to support recovery, performance, and long-term physical health.
I work with a wide range of clients—from athletes and gym-goers to everyday active people—helping them recover from injuries, manage chronic pain, and improve movement and function. Every session is tailored to your specific needs and goals, whether you’re healing from an injury, addressing long-standing muscle tension, or aiming to boost your performance.
My approach is simple: listen first, treat effectively, and empower you to take charge of your body. I focus on identifying the root cause of your issues, not just treating the symptoms, so you can get back to doing what you love with confidence.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me in the gym, out on the trails mountain biking, or out riding my motorbike. I’ve always been into training and being outdoors, and like most people who stay active, I’ve had my fair share of injuries along the way. I know how frustrating it is when your body holds you back—and how good it feels when everything’s working like it should.

Please let me introduce Kelsey

Kelsey will be joining me here at Freedom In Motion, working in clinic at offering sports massage treatments and maintenance massages… more info on times and prices to follow!

For now though, here’s a little bit about her journey and why she will be the perfect fit to expand the Freedom In Motion family!

I started my career working as a registered nurse, where most of my time has been spent in Emergency and Critical roles. After a back injury in 2022 I looked to build back my strength and heal my body by getting back into fitness and started seeing a sport therapist regularly where I realised alot more can be done with alternatives to medicine.
Since then I have been doing my combined level 3 and 4 in sports massage therapy and am excited to support others in their own journey to better health and fitness.

Radial shockwave therapy (RSWT) and focused shockwave therapy (FSWT) are both non-invasive treatments used very successfully in physical therapy, and sports medicine.
Radial shockwave involves the application of low to medium energy shockwaves that spread out in a radial pattern making it effective for treating superficial musculoskeletal conditions.

Focused shockwave delivers high-energy shockwaves to a precise, focused area, allowing for deeper pe*******on and a more targeted treatment, this makes it beneficial for localised or deep-seated conditions.

A treatment will typically last 15-30 minutes and will include treatment and advice on rehab and exercises relevant to the condition.
