⭐️ SPORTS MASSAGE WITH A TWIST ⭐️

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation will help to get those stubborn knots out, help you recover from a heavy gym session or work alongside other massage techniques to treat your injury 🤕

IASTM uses a variety of stainless steel instruments to get deeper into the muscle fibres, or into those stubborn areas such as the Achilles’ tendon or ankle ligaments. This will help realign the fibres ⭐️

⭐️ LOWER LEG STABILITY ⭐️

Constant ankle and knee pain? Instability? Recent fractures? Reoccurring sprains?

Try these two simple exercises.

*The ‘tibialias’ is the first line of defence against knee pain. It balances the lower leg & gives stability. Train this muscle 2x per week to improve strength by doing tibialis raises as shown in the video.

*The ‘soleus’ pulls with the greatest force of any muscle any is active whenever we exercise. Train this muscle by bending the knees & doing a calf raise in a “knees over toes raise”

Give these a go 2 x per week and build into any lower leg rehab programmes ⭐️

⭐️ SPORTS MASSAGE ⭐️

Have you ever had one? The benefits are endless, from increased flexibility to aiding recovery. You don’t need to be injured to have a sports massage. They’re a great idea as maintenance and for injury prevention, even monthly.

Keeping your muscle fibres balanced through sports massage reduces the chances of getting knots and soreness that we get through doing daily activities, even sleeping.

If you train at the gym or play sports, it is even more important to keep a balance in your muscles, and having a regular treatment will improve flexibility and prevent injuries. It will help you recover quicker and mean you can train more efficiently.

Have you had a sports massage before? Comment below with your thoughts & opinions!⬇️

⭐️ ANKLE REHABILITATION ⭐️

Ankle sprains are such a common injury, and if not reheabbed properly the chance of re-injury is high!

This is something I have suffered with and recently had a double fracture in my right ankle. Here are some easy phase 1 exercises that can be started fairly quickly after injury (unless in a cast of course).

I can build you a bespoke rehab plan for any injury, get in touch for more info.
