Alishbah and Manha from the Luton Youth Council had presented with Isabella and Jessica from the Central Bedfordshire Youth Voice at the Voice of the Child Conference!

The conference was about safety, and they discussed with other schools what safety looks like and why it is important. The rest of the day continued thinking about categories such as social media and how it can link to safety.

A big thanks to , , and for their amazing stalls!

The Luton Youth Council had a stall on the 25th and the 27th October at Luton Point outside Superdrug to raise awareness of domestic violence.

One of our activities was mind map to ask the public on what they believe domestic violence is. This was to get people to understand the meaning of domestic violence. The second activity was a red flag or green flag activity, where you would pull a scenario out of a hat, and decide whether it was bad (red flag) or good (green flag). Our third activity was writing positive quotes on a shirt for survivors of domestic violence.

We had an amazing time, and will have our next stall again soon! 👍🎉🏪✨

The festival is a chance for self-expression and community connection allowing people to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community and it's history. We had an incredible time! 👍🎉✨🎤
