Dates for your diary:

Starting in January, we will be doing a repair cafe in High Town on the last Friday of every month, and Marsh Farm on 15 Jan, 12 Feb and 12 Mar. We will have some Saturdays too, but we haven’t organised the dates yet.

The Friday High Town repair cafe sessions will be at High Town social club in Oxen Road, from 1.30 until 4.30. The Thursday Marsh Farm sessions will be at Marsh Farm Futures from 103Marsh Farm Futuresforget, if you want to bring something in for repair, don’t forget to book a slot! Lutonrepaircafe@gmail.com.

Ok... it's January and we are still taking about Christmas trees - but this one is important.

We really need your feedback on if you enjoyed seeing them around the town and should we do them again. This was a pilot so we need to know what you think so we can plan if to do them in 2026 again.

The tree has succumbed to Storm Bram, but it will be fixed tomorrow! Isaac did manage to get it back in position earlier this afternoon, but the wind is too strong right now.

Today's the day for the High Town Christmas market and lights switch on!

🎄 The market stalls and the amazing tree will be in Burr Street Square, market opens at 12 noon.

🎅 Santa's Grotto is in the outside bar of the The Brickies, and there is still a chance to book a grotto spot.

🌟 The lights will be switched on at approx. 4.15pm.

🌸 Ruth Baker Flowers is having an opening party today

📚 Brown Books will be open, have a look at great selection, pick up a Christmas gift or just grab a coffee and a cake

☕ Lagoa Cafe will have the usual offering of delicious pasties and coffee

☕ The Gardeners Call, Luton are doing free hot chocolate, marshmallows and sweets 5-7pm
