Meet Hilary (Cassie’s mum) and read what she has to say about her first session at Rejoov ✨

“I’m a 63 and 18 months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was previously fit and well apart from osteoarthritis to my hands.

I have had treatment for my cancer which has taken its toll on my body both physically and mentally.

Cass and Rob have been trying to persuade me to come to Rejoov since it opened but I can’t even stand under a cold shower without screaming, so I thought I couldn’t do it. However, one day I thought I’m just going to try it.

I loved the sauna, now I needed to try the ice bath.

I decided not to submerge myself slowly (because I knew I’d back out), just go for it and that’s what I did, straight in with Cass giving me instructions. My first time was for one minute, followed by another lovely sauna session.

I did a further minute and a half in the cold and it was better than the first time. The actual deed was far easier than the thought of doing it!

Afterwards I felt very proud of myself and more energised. I also felt some relief in my finger joints and my feet.

I will continue to visit Rejoov weekly”✔️

A reminder that we have Active Recovery Club every Wednesday 2-3pm - a session dedicated to over 60s looking to feel better and move easier in a supportive environment ♥️
