🌺 Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Memorial Fountain 🌺
At 11:00 am on November 11th, we came together as a community to honour and remember all those who served and sacrificed. Residents, family members, friends, staff from every department, our Home Manager Mark, Senior Manager Arifa, our volunteer Jenny Gribble, and our special guest Clive Asher—poet and singer-songwriter—gathered for a moving and heartfelt Remembrance Day service.
The ceremony began with Dana welcoming everyone, followed by the striking sound of the Big Ben chime and a two-minute silence in deep reflection. Our residents then placed the beautiful wreaths they created during our arts & crafts sessions, while others laid small crosses and roses in tribute.
After the Reveille was played, Mark read the Exhortation and the Dedication, and Dana shared a few meaningful prayers. We were honoured to have Clive Asher recite an original Remembrance poem and perform one of his powerful songs written especially for this occasion.
The service concluded with everyone joining together to sing the National Anthem, a unifying and emotional end to a truly memorable morning.
