January isn’t so bad after all — is it? 😅 👀

There’s something quietly hopeful about the start of a new year, even when we know it won’t be without its challenges.

As we step into the last part of January I am determined to continue to spend time with people who truly fulfil and enrich me.
To move through my days with more awareness and gratitude, even in the ordinary moments.

And to stay true to myself — listening to what feels right, rather than what feels expected.

Also, on the theme of my laughing pic - has anyone tried laughing yoga?!
Feel like this would be very fun to do this year!

This past month can be challenging for many, and I hope everyone has been gentle with themselves.

As we say goodbye to the year, I’m feeling inspired for what’s ahead. 🌿

Self care 🤍

Self care is so important. Particularly this time of year.

In a world where we prioritise being busy and often putting others first, we can fail to remember to put our own life jacks on first. Often leading to burn out, anxiety and a feeling of overwhelm

When we do things that feel good for us this releases oxytocin and endorphins. Both hormones are vital to help regulate your nervous system.

Here are some things I do for self care.

1. Spend time with my dogs
2. Walk at the beach
3. Go to the gym
4. Yoga
5. Laugh with friends

My first hypnobirthing couple have welcomed their beautiful baby into the world, and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m so pleased to hear that the hypnobirthing tools supported them through labour in such a meaningful way 🤍

Hypnobirthing doesn’t promise a “perfect” or ideal birth. Birth is unpredictable, and every journey is unique. What hypnobirthing does offer is something deeper:

🌿 tools to work with your body, not against it
🌿 understanding, choice and informed decision-making
🌿 support for both birthing person and partner
🌿 a sense of control, whatever path birth takes

Improve the functioning of nervous system by getting comfortable in yoga.

Your autonomic nervous system is responsible 95 % of your bodies functioning. Think heart, lungs, brain, blood. We can’t consciously control that.

We can however support this system by training our nervous system to function more efficiently. One of the best ways we can do this is by relaxing, moving and living consciously, breathing deeper and mediating.

Yin yoga allows you access your parasympathetic nervous system. Yin yoga allows you to hold your yoga positions for up 5 minutes. This is telling your body to relax and let go of the tension the body holds on a subconscious level.

It gives your body extra time to relax the body and in turn relaxes the nervous system

I always tell my clients - props are your friend!
Here a few examples of how you can use a bolster and blocks - but you can also use pillows and books

Let’s start to remind ourselves that we don’t always need to be super active and moving in order to be improving our bodies health.

In the most beautiful, chilled area of mainland Spain.
The retreat is in a large Spanish white townhouse in the centre of old town Tarifa.
We are staying in a beautifully renovated townhouse with private rooms and private en-suites

A typical day:
Sunrise yoga
Light breakfast
Morning yoga
Brunch
Free time - soo many options and only 5 min walk to beach
Activity and afternoon yoga
Evening for dinner, explore and shop in the old town

Does hypnobirthing mean a pain free birth?

No - Hypnobirthing doesn’t promise a pain free birth However, it helps you understand what happens to your body when you are in labour.

Helping you understand the:

Fear- tension - pain theory

Meaning - the more your body tenses and fights the bodies natural birth process - the more your body will experience pain - as it working against your body’s natural rhythm. Your uterus muscles will be working against eachother as opposed working in harmony.

Hypnobirthing isn’t just for pregnancy and birth - you will learn skills that will take you far beyond that!

You will learn breathing techniques and an awareness of how to manage and reduce stress to take you throughout your parenthood journey

Whats great about hypnobirthing is that you do it alongside your birth partner
They also learn the breathing techniques to help facilite a calmer environment and to help them and you stay focused, relaxed and empowered with your birth and your choices surrounding it.

What a beautiful day we had for our Feminine Retreat Day alongside myself and the amazing Fiona

We were joined by 14 amazing ladies 🌿

We danced, laughed, practised yoga, ate a yummy lunch.
After lunch we went on the most beautiful walk accross the grounds of
We all had headphones, and were guided by Fiona to move and dance amongst nature. It’s all about letting your inhibitions go and celebrating life and movement

Our day finished with some guided relaxation 🌿

Your nervous system has muscle memory.

Every time you slow down, breathe deeply, or unroll your yoga mat, you’re teaching your body what safety feels like.

Over time, these practices create pathways of calm within your autonomic nervous system — the part of you that controls your stress and relaxation responses.

The more often you enter that restful state during yoga or breathwork, the more your parasympathetic nervous system learns how to activate with ease — slowing your heart rate, softening your breath, and melting tension from the inside out.

That’s why sometimes, simply rolling out your mat can bring an instant sense of peace.
Your body remembers.

It recognises the safety, the stillness, the space you’ve created there before.

With each moment of stillness you create / you are training your nervous system a little more each time. Learning how to go from stressed to calm a little quicker each time

Try to carve out 5/10 minutes each day of gentle movement or stillness and you may start to see little changes in how you respond the everyday stresses of life 🌿

October is here🌿
Am I the only one who thinks October is the best month of the year?

There is an exciting feel to it. A sense of ‘change’ is in the air. leaves falling from the trees, weather becoming crisp but still so beautiful and sunny. Beautiful colours and sunsets. It’s so special.

I have lots of exciting plans for my yoga and Hypnobirthing coming up - looking forward to sharing over the coming weeks
