We are closing down on Thursday 26 January.

It is with hugely mixed feelings that I am letting you know that The Natural Health Hub will close at the end of this month. I am steeped with sadness to end what I created six years ago and lose connection with you all – our community of lovely like-minded people.

But life moves on... and I have personal plans that mean it is time for changes. Just at the right time of year as the snowdrops begin to emerge!

This is not an end, though: all our therapists, including myself, are continuing their work nearby (details on the website), and we will of course continue to collaborate with each other. All appointments already booked for forthcoming months will stand.

Meanwhile, please make the most of our CLOSING DOWN SALE: I would love that everything goes!!

It looks like this winter is set to be a bumper year for flu. That's what has happened in Australia through their winter - and we usually follow suit here.

Problem is we had little flu to speak of in the last couple of years because of lack socialising through the pandemic, plus our immune systems just aren't prepared. So now is definitely the time to arm yourself against flu...

Of course we would recommend you do this the natural way - not by having a flu jab. Your choice but if you raise your body's natural resources to flight flu then you're less likely to catch it or suffer less severely if you do.

Top tips:
* Take Vitamin C - 2g daily preventively, up to 6g daily if you feel coldy symptoms.
* Add a probiotic to give your gut flora (the seat of most of your immune defences) a boost.
* Charge your immune system with a good herbal tonic such as our immune boost mix (echinacea+sambucus+astragalus).
* Have the homeopathic remedy occiloccinum at hand: take it at first signs of flu and it can halt symptoms altogether.

Our pilates instructor and Reiki Master teacher, Rebecca Marr, BACHDip, is also a qualified therapist in the art of crystal healing. Rebecca will be running a Sunday morning Crystals Workshop on 23 October 10am-1pm.

In this workshop will guide you through the basics of crystal healing, from selecting your crystals and how to cleanse them, to using them for yourself and around the home to uplift and enhance the energy around you. Rebecca will also explain the chakras and the benefits of using crystals to balance them, bringing more harmony and ease to your wellbeing.

, our reiki practitioner and crystal healer, will be teaching pilates every Tuesday at The Hub, starting on 18 October 9.30-10.30am.

Pilates has so many benefits and really is for everybody. It helps to develop strength, flexibility, endurance and posture without stressing joints.

We're champions of taming the menopausal dragon here at The Hub. It IS possible to go through menopause naturally without suffering… honest!

Thank goodness that menopause is now no longer a taboo word. We've a way to go before it stops being a taboo subject at work, though.

Research by BUPA shows that women experiencing at least one problematic menopausal symptom are 43% more likely to leave their jobs by 55. Which translates to a total of 900,000 women.
