Stress awareness week: let’s talk about the weight we carry.
Stress doesn’t just live in the mind - it shows up in the body too. Tight shoulders, a stiff neck, headaches, or that constant tension you can’t quite shake... does that sound familiar?
When we’re under pressure, our nervous system often stays in a constant state of ‘fight or flight’. This is the body’s natural response to protect us in short bursts. But when it's switched on for too long, muscles tighten, postures change, and our ability to rest and recover is reduced.
Chiropractic care helps by easing physical tension and improving movement through the spine and joints, which in turn can help calm the nervous system. When the body feels more balanced and relaxed, the mind tends to follow.
This stress awareness week, take a moment to check in with your body, as it might be holding onto more than you realise.
