WELCOME JANUARY 🌸

No sooner were the decorations down, then we were back to business with our regular activities.

January can seem such a long, dark month but when there are nice things in the diary to look forward to, such as games afternoon, book club, guest speaker and Elevenses it makes such a difference!

FESTIVE FUN 🎶🎄

It’s been a fabulously festive week at Minerva Place, with our annual Christmas meal and the return of our ‘festive choir on the terrace’!

On Monday evening, Karen and the team at the Lymm Golf Club served a delicious meal to all our residents 🥘🍷

And on Wednesday, the Smiley Tunes Alley cats choir were back singing carols with our residents - all whilst the sun was shining! 🌤️

We we’re delighted that some of our neighbours from Back To The Garden Childcare Lymm and Statham Manor Care Home joined too ☺️

We’re definitely in the festive mood now! 🎄

CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL READY!🎄🕯️

We are delighted to be taking part in this year‘s community Christmas tree festival at Saint Mary’s Church.

Our residents have come together to create and donate handmade and treasured ornaments, to represent Christmas past, present and future, as the theme was ‘a Christmas Carol’.

Why not pop along and see all the beautiful trees that will be displayed. It promises to be a sparkling start to your festive preparations!

Entrance is free and there will be entertainment from local groups plus produce stalls and refreshments.

It’s on this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday 😊

There is even a children’s church mouse treasure hunt taking place for little ones ☺️

You will find our entry just inside the entrance on the left as you walk in !

WELCOME DECEMBER 🎁

Our home owners came together to sprinkle their festive magic on the communal lounge yesterday!🎄🦌

They are so welcoming of each other and it’s lovely to see some of our newer residents joining in ☺️

FESTIVE POP UP SHOP 🛍️

Many thanks to Gemma from Style Edit for a wonderful pop-up shop for our residents.

There were clothes, jewellery and more! 🎁

A lovely opportunity to tick off some gift shopping, all without even leaving the building!

We are already looking forward to our next one in Spring 🌸

FRESH FISH DELIVERY 🐠

We’re delighted to have reinstated our weekly delivery of fish and seafood from Lee ☺️. Whilst some of our residents will call up to see Lee at the market every week, it’s great to know he is happy to deliver straight to our front door 🏡

Always a cheery service and the freshest fish!

We’re already getting ready for our Christmas orders, so if you love fresh fish too, why not give Lee a call?  🌲🐟

LAUNCHING THIS WEEK! 🚌

We’re delighted to announce that Direct Taxis will be adding a stop to their Lymm circular minibus ‘hail and ride’ route and calling to Minerva to collect residents who wish to go up into the village!

The service will run on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and we know it will be really appreciated, especially in the Wintery months!

Thank you Ste and Bev - we look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks!

HALLOWEEN DRINKS NIGHT! 🎃🍷

On the last Friday of the month, we celebrate all the birthdays that take place during the month, so we bumped our Halloween drinks night forward to this Wednesday!

What a super turn out!

There were a couple of less favourable, spooky visitors too, but everyone got along just fine! ☺️🕷️🧟‍♂️

It’s lovely to know our residents can go out for a nice evening, without having to go out!

WEAR IT PINK LUNCH 💞

Dining together is so much more fun, especially when it’s for an important cause & you can wear something pink!

We had a lovely time and raised £130 for the charity 💖

Thank you Sextons Bakery for a tasty lunch as always! The pink buns went down a treat ☺️
