Marisco Medical Practice Welcome to Marisco Medical Practice. Our Practice ethos is to provide high quality medical care in a professional, yet friendly and compassionate manner.

Marisco Medical Practice is located in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire providing general medical services to approximately 14,000 patients in Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea and the surrounding areas. Our surgeries are purpose-built clinical buildings with well-equipped consulting and treatment rooms.

Marisco have organised for Lincs Digital to host some training sessions on our Total Triage System. They will be available to help patients go through any questionnaires they may be sent. The December dates and times are

If you have a cough or a cold please wear a mask when attending the surgery . If you don't have one please ask a member of the reception team and they will provide you with one.

On the 15th September we go live with Total Triage , We will no longer be doing urine dips for urine infections, if you think you may have a urine infection you will need to fill in an total triage form online with your symptoms and this will then be triaged by one of our clinical team .

Why Are We Changing Things?

Lots of patients have told us:
• It’s sometimes hard to get through on the phone.
• Appointments can get booked up quickly.
• Not everyone can call at 8am because of school, work, or other commitments.
• Some things, like prescriptions or sick notes, don’t need a full appointment — but there wasn’t an easy way to request them.
At the same time, GP practices across the UK are under more pressure than ever, so we need a smarter, safer way to help everyone get the care they need.

• You’ll be matched with the right person for your issue — not always a GP.
• It’s a fairer and more flexible system for everyone.

What If You Don’t Use the Internet?

That’s okay. If you can’t go online, you can:

• Call the practice and speak to someone who will help fill in the form.
• Visit the surgery and speak to reception face-to-face and we will fill the form in for you .
You won’t be treated any differently depending on how you get in touch — everyone is treated equally.

What Happens Next?

Once you have filled your form in online, after it has been reviewed by clinical team we may offer you:

• An appointment with a GP/ANP, either face-to-face or by phone.
• Book you in with another team member who can help, like a pharmacist, nurse, physiotherapist, or mental health worker.
• Refer you directly to another service, like a local pharmacy or optician.
• Give you advice, a prescription, or a sick note without an appointment.
• Refer you to a specialist if needed.

What Is AccuRx?

AccuRx is the online medical triage system where you can fill out a form for a request help or ask for things like sick notes or repeat prescriptions. If you’ve used it before, this new system will feel familiar.
If you haven’t used it yet, don’t worry — we’re here to help and guide you through it.

EXPLAINING TOTAL TRIAGE

What Is Total Triage?
Total Triage means that every request for help — whether it’s for a health concern, a sick note, or advice — is first looked at by a trained doctor or nurse. They’ll decide the best way to help you, based on how urgent it is and who is best suited to deal with it.

How Do You Ask for Help?

You can contact us in different ways:
• Online using AccuRx – This is the fastest and easiest way from your NHS App or the link on the surgery website. Just fill out a form explaining your issue.
• By phone – If you can’t go online, call us. A team member will ask you some questions and fill out the form for you.
• In person – You can come to reception and speak to a member of the team, who will help complete the form with you.
🛑 Please remember: However you contact us — online, by phone, or in person — everyone must complete the same AccuRx request form. This ensures we can assess every patient fairly and safely.

Making It Easier to Get Help from Marisco Medical Practice – Starting 15th September 2025

We know it can be sometimes frustrating trying to get an appointment — the phone lines are often busy, and appointments go quickly. That’s why we’re changing the way you contact us for help.
From 15th September 2025, we’re moving to something called Total Triage. It’s a new system that many GP practices across the country are already using, and the NHS is encouraging all practices to adopt it.
