What a miserable wet day ☔️ Due to the poor weather Sutton on Sea Sandcastles Preschool didn’t come for stay and play today. Completely understandable but unfortunate as our deputy had a messy play idea to coincide with Pudsy Day with it being BBC Children in Need Nevermind, perhaps we’ll do it in two weeks time when they next visit.
Instead we made a start on Christmas card making 🎄🎄🎄🎄 We used pens, pencils, paint and accessories to create and decorate. All while the rain hammered on the roof above us. I hope tomorrow won’t be as wet! I’m hoping to take a resident or two to the wellness day at the Seaview Colonnade Sutton on Sea which is running 10-4.
Also a little reminder, the memory cafe is on Monday 10:30-12:30 and next week is games!! We look forward to seeing you 🫶🏻

Today we were visited by Steph from SO..Yoga and had a seated yoga session where many residents participated which was great! Steph also kindly donated her fee from today to put towards the Sensory Garden Fundraiser, THANK YOU 🙏🏼
After lunch I sat with Ron and Joan to do their photo album, we only managed a couple of pages but at least we’ve made a start.
Then later we had our third subscription from SnackPilot and this time it was Thailand 🇹🇭 We tried an array of sweet and savoury snacks and two different lychee drinks. - only problem was, they sent the information booklet in German 🤦🏼‍♀️ so we just guessed as we went along 😆 Everyone enjoyed all the treats though, so that was good 👍🏼

I’ve been around the village this lunchtime handing out our posters to businesses. Thank you to everyone who has graciously agreed to display it. It’s only a 90 day campaign and we’ve got a big target to hit!

David served for our country in the RAF, it was only fitting that he joined me this morning for the service of remembrance at the Sutton on sea war memorial.
Brilliant turn out, as always.
We then warmed up with hot chocolate and a cheeky sweet treat at the Ice Rock Cafe.
