🌿 Reflecting on the Last Few Years 🌿
The last few years have been full of change — both beautiful and difficult.
If I’m honest, there were moments when I wasn’t sure I’d find my footing again.
I’ve rebuilt my life more than once — through heartbreak, loss and major life transitions — and I’ve learned that growth doesn’t always look like forward motion. Sometimes it looks like resting, re-rooting and starting again.
Professionally, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved through all of that:
✨ 8 months as Event Manager at Brighton Dome
✨ Programming and reopening The Muni Theatre after refurbishment — rescheduling 6 months of shows and transferring an entire pantomime to another venue
✨ Managing weddings, conferences, and major cultural events as Event & Venue Hire Manager at Charleston
✨ Event Managing The Blue Camel Club, an inclusive club night for adults with learning disabilities
✨ Coordinating large-scale productions like the SBD British Powerlifting Championships
Alongside this, I’ve built my own freelance world — Yew Studio — where I bring together massage therapy, music, movement and creativity.
It’s been deeply fulfilling to grow Intuitive Massage with Yvette in Seaford and Hailsham, complete further CPD training with Jing Advanced Massage School, co-create a holistic retreat at Muncaster Castle, and begin developing my DJ and sound practice through an Arts Council DYCP grant.
It’s been a journey of resilience, redefinition and quiet persistence — balancing full-time roles while nurturing a creative business and a more sustainable way of life.
I’m grateful to the colleagues, clients and friends who’ve supported me along the way — and to myself, for keeping faith through the messy, beautiful process of becoming.
Here’s to continuing to build a life that feels aligned, soulful and creatively alive. 🌙
