January can feel a bit long. The days are short, the weather's a mixed bag and our enthusiasm can be in short supply. Here are 5 ways to take the edge off.

🪴 Keep a bit of a routine. Nothing too strict - just enough to give the day a shape.

🪴 Get some fresh air. A little bit of time in outside does wonders when you're feeling stuffy. Coats were invented for a reason!

🪴 Enjoy good company. Have a natter, set the world to rights, play a game, spend some time together.

🪴 Have something to look forward to. It could be an activity, a visitor or maybe a film - give the week a highlight.

🪴 Go easy on yourself. Remember that rest is productive and Spring will be here soon.

We’ve had such a lovely time celebrating Christmas with our residents, families and friends. 🎄

There’s been plenty going on - from our Christmas party, carols and a church service, to Christmas bingo and some great entertainment. We were especially thrilled to watch one of our carers perform a beautiful Mauritian folk dance. We were also joined by a local student who played the violin for us.

A big thank you to one of our kind families who surprised us with a beautiful cake for the care we provided to their loved one. It really meant a lot to everyone.

We’ve been so lucky to share the festivities with so many guests.

Thank you to our wonderful residents, our caring team and our local community for making this Christmas so special. ❤️

💚 Keep moving: short walks, gentle stretches or even a bit of gardening help keep your body and mind active.

💚 Make the most of daylight: Sitting near a window or going outside when it’s sun's out can do wonders.

💚 Stay connected: Chatting with friends, family or joining in with group activity helps you feel less isolated.

💚 Look after yourself: Warm drinks and cosy layers will keep you snug!
