On Friday 8th August our annual tug of war competition returns. Following on from a fantastic year last year, we will have men, women and junior competitions, all 6 a side and catch-weight.

Today we headed to the inter county tug of war championships hosted in Somerset. Owing to holidays etc over the past few weeks we haven’t had a full squad available and this week wasn’t much different as we travelled to the event with 8 pullers weighing 599. So we stamped it into 600 and the inter county 640.

We gave a great account of ourselves in the circumstances placing 5th in the 640 and 3rd in a good competitive 600. Well done team!

See you at the next one. We are still training Tuesday and Thursday evenings as we prepare for the world club competition in Nottingham. We are always open to new members so if you want to join in, do get in touch!
