Weekend with nature ~ how we spent our days outside!
After a winter of deep burrowing it felt soooo good to be back out side amongst nature for 2 full days this weekend.
I'm so grateful the warmer weather is here!
Beautiful morning spent up at Macclesfield forest on Saturday, I went in the search of 2 pines - as John Muir said "between every 2 pines is a doorway to a new world" so it felt like the perfect spot for cacao and the meditation I wanted to 'do'.
Sunday morning, after Skye's besties birthday party (we've started a (local) trend of celebrating our dogs birthday - it's so much fun and a good excuse to have a hot cuppa and treat whilst the dogs wrestle and play!)
It was then on to the nature space to do some preparation for the new season. The other week I had some help from those who completed The Elements of Wellbeing journey with the hedgecutting (it's looking mighty fine still). This week I created a new rose bed and we installed a new herb planter that my dad had made that now needs filling! Helpers welcome!
It was extra special to plant the roses on International Womens Day, bringing their heart healing, feminine energy and beauty into the space. Fingers crossed they are happy in their new home.
Rounded off by mum's roast dinner, before being on a guest panel at Nature & Therapy IWW celebations which was a nourishing way to end a wonderful nature filled weekend.
I'd love to hear what you got upto in nature this weekend?
Let me know in comments or over message.
Are you spending more time outdoors now the weather is slowly warming up?
With love,
Amanda
