āœŒļøBhu mudra
Supports diaphragmatic breathing and activates the rest and digest response, which can lead to reduced feelings of stress and anxiety.

Give it a try, plug yourself back in using the tips of your peace fingers, just a minute or 2 out of your day could shift how you feel… How bloody lovely!

ā‡ļø Saturday 10am Functional Flow - we’re getting specific with alignment with an opportunity to feel that in your body through a creative vinyasa flow. Looking forward to this one! First class at Move is free too - check it out, such a gorgeous movement studio šŸ’š
🐸 Sunday 11am yin - sold out so join the waiting list for any cancellations! Do we need more of these yin classes…!?

Last in person classes of 2025 today and what a year of yoga it’s been! Thank you to everyone who has practiced with me, trusted me with yoga therapy, joined us on retreat, supported me on socials (it really does help even if you can’t join yourself), for lifting me up when I’ve had wobbles (of which there have been many and will probably continue!) I have big scary but exciting plans for next year so your continued support will be so appreciated, but for now I hope you have a wonderful restful Christmas. Remember yoga is always available to you even when you’re off the mat - a short breath practice after another ā€˜are you still single?!’, a wiggle in the kitchen while the Turkey cooks, 2 minute meditation hiding in the loo. Now THAT is truly the practice!

A huge thank you to for the photos as always 🧔

A few last chances this year for you to join me on the mat, let’s turn the volume down on the external and tune into the internal. First class in 2026 is the Earth ā€˜Journey through the Elements’ workshop at - book through my website 🧔

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about what I want to achieve next year, but really all I want is to do more of the things that light me up. And today I realised duh - I don’t have to wait for January 1st to start doing the things that bring me joy! So we went for a little sunset stroll in the hills after work, just what my heart needed 🧔

I’ll be teaching my usual classes until 22nd Dec then will have a festive break until the 2nd Jan for my Earth workshop. Hope to see you on the mat for some festive joy!

5 yoga poses to do if you eat too much this Christmas… or any time you just feel bloated and uncomfortable. Save for when you need it the most 🧔

I actually shared this a few years ago but yoga hasn’t changed too much since then, just my hair got a bit longer 🤪 let me know if this helps and you want some more practical yoga tools you can use on and off the mat!

Breath of Joy is a simple yet powerful pranayama practice used to lift energy, ease tension, and clear the mind. It combines movement and breath to awaken the body and balance the nervous system. And you don’t need long to do it… (save this for when you need it!)

Stand with feet hip-width apart. Inhale one-third as you swing your arms forward, another third as you open them out to the sides, and the final third as you lift them overhead. Then exhale through the mouth with a soft ā€œha,ā€ bending the knees and letting the arms fall. Repeat for approx 5 rounds, then pause and notice the effects - how do you feel?

The active, three-part inhalation gently stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, creating alertness and energy, while the full exhalation and pause afterwards encourage parasympathetic release and relaxation. The rhythmic breath and movement releases tension, improves focus, and encourages a sense of lightness and vitality.
Use it anytime you need to shake off fatigue, boost your mood, or reset your energy.

Note: Avoid if you have high blood pressure, heart conditions, dizziness, or are feeling light-headed. Practise gently and stop if you feel unsteady.

But don’t say I didn’t warn you 🤪 These are just some of the words people used to describe how they were feeling at the end of our last retreat. If you’d like to feel this way too our next retreat is in March in Bakewell, Peak District, where we’ll use the Spring Equinox as an opportunity to reset ahead of the next astrological year. It will include all of the usual lovely things we offer - yoga, a veggie chef, swimming pool, hike in the hills, and just general rest and connection. If you’re interested in joining us we have 2 rooms left, drop me a note and I’ll send you the link with more info! Or send to a friend if you think they need this for themselves 🧔 All levels are welcome!
