Happy Easter - and eat the chocolate.

There is no protocol this weekend.

I could tell you about the polyphenols in dark chocolate. The antioxidant benefits. The flavanols. But honestly? That's not why you're eating it.

You're eating it because it's Easter, it's there, and you deserve it.

And the joy, the connection, the permission to simply be — that is genuinely one of the best things you can do for your brain. Social connection is one of the five foundations of brain health. Eating chocolate with people you love absolutely counts. I'm not above making the science work in my favour.

Rest is not falling behind. Laughter is not wasted time. Joy is brain medicine.

Happy Easter. You have earned every single egg. 🐣

That there is nothing you can do about it, it’s just bad luck or bad genes.
