This weekend brings us a rare planet parade! πͺ
A visual alignment of six planets in the night sky! β¨οΈ
Today, Sat 28 Feb 2026 (and extending into Sun 1 March around sunset), Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune will all appear along roughly the same path (the ecliptic) shortly after sunset! π
The best viewing window is about 30-60 minutes after sunset, when the sky is just dark enough and the planets linger above the horizon. π ππͺ
β¨οΈ Look west-southwest for Mercury, Venus and Saturn low near the sunset glow, with Jupiter higher in the sky.
β¨οΈ Venus and Jupiter will be the brightest and easiest to spot with the naked eye.
β¨οΈ Saturn and Mercury may be visible low near the horizon if skies are clear and you have a good view.
β¨οΈ Uranus and Neptune are much fainter; binoculars or a telescope are typically needed to see them.
