🚑 ✍️ EXCITING NEWS ✍️ 🚑

Over the past two weekends, LSA Secure Medical Services have been privileged to welcome Finn Cavanagh (Co-Trainer for Learning Disabilities) and Ryan Holywood (Autism Co-Trainer) — both of whom have lived experience — to deliver face-to-face Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism to our team.

This training plays a vital role in helping our staff provide compassionate, person-centred care and in deepening our understanding of how to better support individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people during patient transport.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Finn and Ryan for sharing their expertise and experiences, and to all our staff for their engagement and commitment to continual learning.

At LSA Secure Medical Services, the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every patient is our top priority.

This week, our teams completed PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training — with new staff receiving their first course and current staff completing their annual refresher.

PMVA equips our crews with the skills to de-escalate challenging situations, communicate effectively, and ensure safe, compassionate care during mental health transfers.

By investing in continuous training, we make sure our staff are confident, professional, and prepared to deliver the highest standards of care — keeping both patients and colleagues safe at all times 🚑

Hours: 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00, 08:00–20:00, 11:00–23:00, 14:00–02:00) on a Monday–Sunday rotation ⏰
Salary: Competitive, with Annual Bonus 💰

About Us

LSA Secure Medical Services is a leading Independent Ambulance Service, rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We work in partnership with NHS Trusts and other healthcare providers to deliver safe, effective, and professional patient transport, specialising in secure and mental health transfers.

The Role

We are expanding our Secure Ambulance Road Crew and are seeking professional, motivated, and reliable individuals to join our team.

Medical experience is not required – full training is provided. We also welcome applications from those already qualified at FREC 3, FREC 4, Technician, AAP, or Paramedic level.

This is a full-time operational role, working within a two-person crew to ensure the safe and dignified transport of vulnerable patients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely transporting patients in accordance with secure care and safeguarding protocols
• Working effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and control staff
• Supporting patients with dignity, empathy, and professionalism
• Completing required documentation accurately and on time
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, CQC standards, and legal requirements
• Undertaking regular training, CPD, and e-learning to develop and maintain skills

Candidate Requirements
• Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• No prior medical experience required – full training provided
• FREC 3, FREC 4, Technician, AAP, and Paramedic qualifications welcomed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging circumstances
• Reliability, flexibility, and commitment to full-time 12-hour shifts

We were proud to provide medical cover at Camp VC 2025, a festival like no other — celebrating women, and non-binary riders in a packed weekend of motorbikes, outdoor adventure, community, and empowerment.

From motocross to skate sessions, wild swimming to workshops, our dedicated medical team was on-site to ensure everyone stayed safe while pushing their limits. It was inspiring to support such a positive, inclusive, and adrenaline-fuelled environment.

This weekend, our team had the incredible opportunity to provide medical cover for one of the world’s most extreme mountain biking events—Red Bull Hardline 2025 in the stunning Welsh landscape.

From steep descents to massive jumps, the action was non-stop—and our medics were ready for anything. We’re proud to support elite athletes with the same high standard of care we bring to every patient, every day.

Location: Cookham, SL6 9EE 📍
Hours: 12-hour shifts (08:00 – 20:00), 4 days on, 4 days off (Monday to Sunday rotation) ⏰
Salary: From £32,000 per year + bonus scheme 💰

About Us:
LSA Secure Medical Services is a leading Independent Ambulance Service working closely with the NHS, proudly rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient transport.

Role Overview:
We are recruiting 1 Ambulance Controller to manage and coordinate our ambulance journeys and staff. This role requires excellent organisation, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
• Control and dispatch ambulances and staff for scheduled patient journeys
• Plan efficient routes to meet daily transport requirements
• Schedule and manage staff rotas
• Data entry with high attention to detail
• Use radios for communication and coordinate teams on the ground
• Produce written reports and maintain accurate records
• Meet daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure compliance with company policies and GDPR regulations
• Cover for colleagues’ shifts as needed

Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 1 year experience in Patient Transport or a similar role
• Computer literate with strong data entry skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Logical thinker and problem solver
• Team player with a flexible approach to work hours
• Reliable and punctual with good route planning skills
