Turkiye and our next retreat in August 2026 has been on my mind ❤️🇹🇷

Maybe it's the darkness that has swept in.

Perhaps it's because of this virus that has totally knocked me off my feet. (I've literally just been moving from bed to sofa to kitchen for over a week now.)

Maybe I'm just looking forward to giving you a week that is perfect for all your needs ✨✨✨

Crying is important. It's necessary.

Throughout our childhood we're told:

"don't cry" 
"chin up"
"that's enough now" 
"you're so sensitive"

But crying is a release. And if we don't cry, our emotions (which are essentially energy in motion) get stuck. Trauma cannot be processed or moved out of the body.

I have recently learnt that there are three types of tears:

💧Basal tears – Constantly produced to keep the eye moist and protected

💧Reflex tears – Triggered by irritants to flush out the eye

💧Emotional tears – Produced in response to feelings like sadness, joy, frustration, or physical pain

Now this is amazing...!

Emotional tears contain cortisol, the stress hormone - which means that when you cry you are automatically releasing stress in your body! 

How incredible is that?!

So if you're feeling stressed, go watch a soppy film and have a good cry. There's a reason you feel better afterwards ❤️

I wasn't impulsive.

❄️ My nervous system was keeping me in a 'freeze' state to protect me. (This state is often associated with depression, dissociation, procrastination and shut down mode.)

I was so stuck that making decisions was so bloody hard and it was just easier to act impulsively to get stuff done!

If anyone feels this way, or has felt this way in the past, this is NORMAL - you're not broken ❤️

🧠 Your nervous system is keeping you safe, physically, emotionally and mentally. Science tells us that when we sense we're in danger - it might not be actual, physical danger - the brain shuts down in the rational, thinking part (not going to get too technical here!) and the emotional part, and it's essentially just trying to keep your body alive.

Thank goodness for the freeze state, it's exactly what we need our brain to do if we're in a life-threatening situation and just need to keep the heart beating, lungs breathing etc.

What we don't want is to be stuck in that state for a long period of time...

What can you do to safely and gradually move out of the freeze state?

1. Close your eyes or soften your gaze towards the earth
2. Relax your jaw
3. Breathe into your heart

Another chapter of my life begins!

This weekend, I started my journey as a Trauma Release Practitioner with and ❤️

I've got my new notebook; 🐍 the snake is here to guide me on my journey of shedding skin, letting go of old beliefs and an old life, revealing something sparkly and beautiful 🪷

I honestly don't think there's much more I can release from my physical and energetic bodies but I know that's just wishful thinking 😂

On my way home from the course, I drove through the most gorgeous sunset which turned the whole sky into a rainbow, I saw angel numbers on car number plates and the moon glowed bright orange as I approached my house - if they aren't signs from the Divine, I don't know what are 😍🙏🌈🌕

This time next year, I'll be fully qualified and helping others release stress and trauma so that they can reach their full potential and live a life full of joy and bliss ❤️

This course is full of science and magic, I can't wait to share it all with you! ✨✨

🇹🇷 Retreat to Turkey: Come Home to Yourself 2025 ❤️

What a week! I don't know how I do it but every year I receive a group of the most awe-inspiring, heart-full, fun, interesting, spirited, bloody amazing, beautiful women. They needed this retreat to reset and receive - and I needed it just as much as them. I laughed so much!

2. Türkiye, my second home, I love you 🫶
3. I met the most talented artist on my flight out to Dalaman who offered to draw Bonnie for free! Thank you Emily ❤️
4. I taught the ladies how to make 108 malas and their creativity and determination did not disappoint
