Our Story
The Electrolysis Centre was established 73 years ago in 1947 by the Franczack family, a husband and wife team who originally rented premises in Mill Street, Maidstone. They were the founder members and instigators of the Institute of Electrolysis. Mrs Franzack unfortunately died and so Mr Franzack carried on the business with staff he trained personally.
Sadly Mr. Franzack died suddenly from a heart attack one evening when he was locking up the business for the day which by then had moved to Lower Stone Street.
Geraldine Franzack, his daughter-in-law, then took over the business until 1983 when it was taken over by the present owner Jeanne Hudson. In 1984 Jeanne moved the Clinic to its present address 6 Romney Place Maidstone.
In the early days the clinic only did electrolysis but later moved on to other beauty treatments. The name was then changed to Electrolysis & Laser Clinic 10 Years ago trying not to lose the original name but to also incorporate our laser treatments. Now the clinic specialises not only in hair removal with electrolysis but also with IPL laser which is much more quicker and comfortable, although we find electrolysis is still very popular.
We also specialise in skin treatments ranging from rosacea, pigmentation, milia(white spots) skin tags, broken veins, acne and skin rejuvenation.
