✨ How can we help knee replacement surgery?? ✨

Ps WE LOVE THESE MESSAGES! 😍

This patient was waiting for this knee surgery to be done for a while and this can lead to a few things happening where our team can help!

🌟 There are lots of compensation patterns in the body to reduce the load on the ‘bad knee’
🌟 The patient (as we all do!) had been told ‘how bad the knee was’ and this was effecting the ability to trust the new knee
🌟 Limited to group physio post replacement - which is an amazing resource don’t get us wrong but can be hard for bespoke support or exercises for other areas to be given!

So the areas we want to focus on are:

🦵 The rest of the body - there’s a lovely new knee joint in there - the rest of the body needs to build trust, strength and let go a little as well!

🤩 build trust through updating language patterns and thought patterns

👌 build confidence through decreasing pain, increasing movement and again trust through strength building exercises and proprioception 🙌
